43 acres of farm set in the heart of Thomas Hardy country.

Home to Dorper sheep and Boar goats and the odd chicken, as well as a Idyllic campsite. Thorncombe Farm is located in the heart of Thomas Hardy country just a stones’ throw from his birth place. Set in 43 acres with stunning views of the surrounding countryside the farm is home to the Hughes family and their pedigree Dorper sheep and Boer goats along with the chickens and horses. We are affiliat

ed with The Camping and Caravanning Club and offer 5 semi hard standing hook up pitches for visiting caravans and motorhomes and the remainder of the campsite for campers and our bell tents.

Interesting conversation with ECOTRICITY this week, needed a combined input and solar output fixed price contract. All looked brilliant until their sales saw the name of the farm, apparently because we are not vegan , no business. Love to have a business where we could reciprocate , mind you the media would scream the house down with self righteous indignation. Maybe a strapline on your front page saying what we were told so you dont waste our time.
