A carousel full of beeswax magic, happy candlemakers, beautiful candles and lovely words from past participants ✨🐝
Last weekend’s workshop was a joy to facilitate.
Every single person is given the same brief, the same materials, and the same guidance... yet everyone left with something unique and full of their personality.
Working with beeswax is unlike working with any other material. It represents the land the bees forage from. When you understand the origins of beeswax, you begin to see the magic it holds.
What makes this workshop so special is that you’re taught by both a beekeeper and an artist - ME! Someone with genuine respect and connection to the craft, the origins and the story behind this precious earth-infused medium. We don’t just make candles, we explore where beeswax comes from, the communities it supports, and how to work with it intentionally. A day rooted in creativity and appreciation for people, planet and pollinators.
Many past participants can vouch for the excellent supply of food and snacks. There is a reason for this...my studio feels like a second home to me, and if you’re a guest in my space, you’re getting fed. That’s me, that’s my culture, it’s what both my Mums expect of me. So expect a warm, cosy studio, good company, plenty of tea, coffee, treats and a lot of laughter along this journey.
One of my favourite moments is at the end of the day when everyone carefully packs away their candles. You can see how proud they are of what they’ve made and honestly, it makes me ridiculously happy every single time.
Thank you to this weekend’s wonderful group- you were an absolute treat to teach. 🧡
There are just 3 spaces remaining for next month’s workshop.
