We’re on summer hours! In case you hadn’t seen, with some members of our team currently on summer holidays, we’re currently running a smaller, lighter menu with reduced hours.

You can still pop in Wednesday-Friday this week and next for our usual fresh, seasonally inspired food, but with a lighter twist!

Current hours: Wednesday-Friday

Our new favourite thing…Allotment Rainbow Coleslaw.

Inspired by all the fresh, seasonal veg we’re currently harvesting from our our own plot – crisp, colourful, and bursting with flavour. We’ve shredded up the best of the season’s veg and tossed it in a light, zingy yoghurt and apple cider vinegar dressing for that perfect balance of creamy and fresh.

Good for your taste buds, good for the planet, great for the gut, and very easy on the eyes. Available on our ‘Summer Break’ lunch menu for the next few weeks!

Who needs shop-bought sprinkles when you’ve got flower-power?!

One of the joys of having an allotment is being able to grow more than just vegetables – we also plant flowers that are as beautiful as they are useful, and edible too. These colourful calendulas don’t just attract pollinators to the garden – their petals are completely edible and make the prettiest natural cake decorations.

This week, we harvested a tray full of calendula heads in all shades of yellow and orange. After plucking the petals, we gently oven bake them until fully dried. They can be sprinkled over cakes, biscuits, and desserts for a pop of colour and a subtle, earthy flavour. You’ll see them on our new courgette and lime cake from next week!

It’s a simple, sustainable way to decorate bakes – no artificial colours, just homegrown beauty straight from the garden. 🌱✨
