🐴 Feed & bedding are still at the heart of Newdigate Feeds, now with even more ways to shop with us.

From our new Crawley premises, we’ll continue supplying the same feed and bedding ranges, with deliveries running as normal.

The difference is that, once the shop officially opens, customers will also have a base they can visit, browse and purchase from directly, making Newdigate much more than a delivery-only service.

For now:
🚚 Deliveries remain as normal
📦 Collections can be arranged
🏬 The new shop is getting ready to open

And alongside feed and bedding, the new space will allow us to offer an even wider range for horse and rider.

We’re not officially open just yet, but we’re getting closer, and we’re really looking forward to welcoming you in soon. 💚

Thank you for all the lovely feedback on yesterday’s post, it’s been so nice to see how excited everyone is about the new shop. 💚

Just to clarify, we’re not officially open yet, as there are still a few finishing touches going on behind the scenes.

However, collections can be arranged in the meantime, so if there’s something you need, just send us a message and we’ll do our best to help.

📍 We’re now based in Crawley.

🚚 Deliveries are continuing as normal, so there’s no change there while we get the new shop ready.

We’ll keep sharing updates as we get closer to the official opening day. More to come very soon… 👀🐴

👀 It’s starting to look official…

The new Newdigate Feeds sign is up!

There’s still plenty going on behind the scenes and we’re not officially open just yet, but everything is starting to take shape.

Over the next few weeks we’ll be sharing more little glimpses of the new shop as we get closer to opening the doors. 🐴✨

❄️ **Colder weather = more feed? Not necessarily.**

As temperatures drop, horses may need more energy to help maintain body condition, but that doesn’t always mean increasing hard feed straight away.

For many horses, **forage is the first place to look**. Plenty of good-quality forage supports the digestive system and also helps generate heat as it’s fermented.

The right approach will depend on your horse’s workload, age, condition and individual needs, so it’s worth reviewing the whole diet rather than simply adding more to the bucket.

A little planning now can make winter feeding much easier. 🐴🍂

A few things worth checking now:

🐴 Is their weight where you want it?
🌱 Has the recent grass growth affected them?
🌾 Do you have enough forage organised?
🥣 Does their feed still match their workload?
✂️ Is clipping on the horizon?
🧹 Are you stocked up on bedding?

Mud season is coming.

Which means wet rugs, filthy legs, destroyed fields and discovering that the horse you turned out this morning has somehow changed colour by lunchtime. 😂

One of the most important things is not to make a sudden switch.

Horses’ digestive systems rely on consistency, so introduce new feeds gradually and give the digestive system time to adjust.

It might take a little longer, but slow and steady is usually much kinder to the gut. 🐴
