Etherley Farm A family run farm producing free range chicken, duck, eggs, grass fed beef & lamb, pork & Christmas turkey & goose. Our basic campsite is open April - October.

Our page has daily posts to show what life is like on our small family run farm. Etherley Farm is situated at the foot of Leith Hill an area of outstanding natural beauty. It is a National Trust tenant farm, which has been run by the Keen family for over five decades.

The trailer was otherwise occupied this morning, but the weather was to good not to get more lambs out in the feild.
We got lucky no one peed 😅

A couple of days ahead of schedule, the 2026 lambing season has started. This cleaver girl popped these three out in less than a hour. 🐑

Our ram Gordon is in with a poorly foot, so we're trying to get him tamed down in the mentime. 🐑

The girls are now in for a couple of weeks, to settle and dry out before lambing starts. 🐑

Was lovely getting to ween the calves yesterday in the sunshine, now back to the rain today.
They have gone out to join the herd of steers in the park.

Catching the steers ready for our February beef, and separating the heifers.
Busy week hear, prepping the barns ready for the cows to come in, hopefully not for to long. 🤞

Had a little hiatus after Christmas, planning for the coming year and manged a break away, and a massive thank you to everyone who has made that possible!

And another massive thank you to everyone that came to buy your turkey, goose, duck and chicken from us hear at etherley over Christmas! We hope you had all had a wonderful time over the holidays.

These are our lovely breeding geese, currently in the barn like all the birds accross the uk right now. They are great to watch giving themselves a wash.
We still have a few geese left ready for Christmas dinner. 🪿
