Kingfisher Farm Shop is famous for its home grown watercress. This family business has been growing this uniquely English product at Abinger Hammer since 1854. It is grown in natural spring water, which provides all the necessary nutrients without the aid of fertilisers or insecticides. The Farm Shop has become an increasingly important part of the business since the family started selling fruit a

nd vegetables in 1971 and the watercress shed at Abinger Hammer became the present shop in 1999. The shop provides high quality food for the discerning customer, sourcing as much regional and local food as available.

There will be bunting and balloons galore in Abinger Hammer on Sunday 12 July as we celebrate two very special occasions.Party by the Pond

At noon we are holding our party round the pond to celebrate Kingfisher Farmshop’s 55th Birthday. We will be offering a watercress themed picnic to enjoy by the pond. Featuring some of our favourite products from Fine Pie House, Chalk Hills Bakery and Celebration bakery all including our watercress. To book a picnic please click the button below.

Complimentary tea and cake will be served to celebrate the occasion.

At 3pm Abinger Hammer Village Hall is holding a special Centenary Celebration Concert to mark 100 years of serving the local community as a vibrant venue for gatherings, performances and events. The concert will honour the hall’s musical heritage with a piece by Ralph Vaughan Williams, Mister Issac’s Maggot. Composed for the opening of the village hall in 1926 and will be played using some of the instruments used at the hall’s opening a century ago. The programme will feature a variety of performances from talented local musicians and the award-winning Holmbury Choir.

Please Note

This is a free to attend event with complementary glass of bubbly.

Tickets are to be collected from Kingfisher Farm Shop.

We look forward to seeing you there!
