Sticky Sisters Honey

Sticky Sisters Honey We sell local Dorset and New Forest honey straight from the hive - 100% pure and totally natural The Sticky Sisters are a keen team of Bee loving individuals.

Our team comprises of Ann and Jane who are actually sisters and also long time friends, husband and wife Garry and Teresa Elcock. The four of us formed a partnership back in 2019 combining our enthusiasm and knowledge for Bee Keeping and honey production. It would be true to say that our ‘hobby’ has very quickly turned into a passionate obsession with these tiny creatures. Our main apiary is based

literally on the county boarder of Dorset with Hampshire, in the little hamlet of Neacroft which is situated within the New Forest National Park. Initially we started with just a few hives but have very quickly expanded that number and now maintain colonies of Bees throughout Dorset and Hampshire with ‘out’ apiaries in Holmsley, Ossemsley, Horton and Christchurch. We spend hours caring for and supporting our Bees. The new Bees adopted in 2021 were very very carefully sourced, they are British, and chosen for their genetic quality, their temperament and productively. Our Sticky Sisters Honey is 100% pure, raw and totally natural. It is spun directly out of the honeycomb frame, placed into jars and remains exactly the way the Bees made it. This process takes place in our Honey Kitchen at Neacroft. We also sell a range of Honey based Soap, Bath products and Pet Soaps that are natural and soothing for the skin, other than honey, quality ingredients such as coconut butter, Shea butter, and natural oils and fragrances have also been used. We can deliver locally to Neacroft and surrounding areas or if not will discuss with you postage fees depending on the weight of your order and location. If you would like to order any of our products or find out more please contact us on the email or telephone number on this page.

👑🐝 PROJECT SPARROW: The Big Queen Rearing Adventure! 🐝👑

We are trying something completely brand new at Sticky Sisters Honey this season...raising our very own queen bees!

It is a mix of patience, science, and a little bit of magic. ✨

Here is how the magic happens behind the scenes:

1️⃣ Tool Prep: First, we fire up the blowtorch and smoker to make sure our colonies stay completely calm and relaxed while we work. 🔥💨

2️⃣ The Selection: We search the frames for tiny 3 day old larvae (the microscopic babies that just hatched from their eggs). They are so small we literally need magnification to see them! 🔍

3️⃣ The Grafting: Using a delicate tool, we carefully graft the larvae from the comb into those bright blue grafting cups on our wooden frame.

4️⃣ Royal Treatment: We place the frame into a crowded colony. The attentive nurse bees instantly take over, flooding the blue cups with a mountain of royal jelly and building long protective wax cells around each larva.

5️⃣ The Sweet Apartments: While the bees do their part, we build the future homes! We have prepped tiny, brightly coloured mini mating nucs complete with miniature honeycomb starter sheets.

6️⃣ Home Sweet Home: Why the bright colours? Once a new virgin queen eats her way out of her cell, she takes to the skies for her mating flights. She uses those vivid colours as a visual map to safely recognize and return to her exact front door! 🗺️🐝

Right now, we are in the waiting stage to see if the colony accepts our larvae. Fingers crossed! 🤞💛

Follow along to see the next stage of Project Sparrow!

We have just got to share our fantastic news. Today we have extracted our first 2026 honey.
These perfect frames of honey came from our Bees living at Poors Common. Time will tell whether this currently runny honey remains that way.
It’s all linked to what our bees at Poors Common found and chose to forage on. Were they tempted by the local, beautiful rapeseed fields or did they prefer something else.

Apologies for our Sticky Sisters 2025 runny honey stocks coming to an end.
As the 2026 season approaches we so hope our Bees are busy collecting nectar and creating lots of honey for us all to share.
Let’s hope for lots of lucky four leaf clover too.
We still have plenty of hard set honey available at
