What a weekend, and what an event! One of my absolute favourites at Drop the Anchor Brewery has to be our Unsigned Sessions, celebrating and supporting incredible local grassroots musicians. There's something special about giving talented artists a stage and watching people discover their next favourite band.

A huge thank you to our brilliant host, Rees-Coshan, who once again steered the ship and pulled together a fantastic line-up. Massive thanks as well to everyone who came along to support. A bit of wind and the odd shower certainly didn't put you off, and that's what I love about our community. Live music is alive and well, and whether you're selling out arenas or playing your first gig, music is music and it deserves to be heard.

The day had everything. We even had a power cut across the grid! Not to be beaten, Paul jumped into action and we powered the stage from his car until the electricity came back on. Those unexpected moments are the ones that become the stories you'll be telling for years. You couldn't make it up!

A huge thank you to my amazing team, Dylan, all the artists, and everyone behind the scenes who made the day such a success. We're already planning our next Unsigned Session, and we can't wait to do it all again.

I was honoured to receive a lovely letter from Michael Dooley, His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Dorset, following the recent Heritage & Harmony event at Kingston Maurward Estate.

It was a fantastic day spent with so many passionate people celebrating heritage, craftsmanship, community, and the importance of connecting people with place.
I'm incredibly grateful for the opportunity to share the story of Drop the Anchor Brewery, our field-to-glass journey, and the wider vision of building a heritage and wellbeing ecosystem at East Close.

Sometimes you have to step outside your comfort zone, and I'm very glad I did.
There are some exciting conversations happening, plenty of ideas being explored, and a lot to be positive about for the future.

We're brewing the Backroom Pale today. This lovely ale features Harlequin Hops at 3.4% ABV. Created by our friends at , it's an easy-drinking session ale to get us through the day.
