** UPDATE . THANK YOU TO ALL THOSE WHO HAVE RESPONDED. WE NOW HAVE ENOUGH VOLUNTEERS FOR SUNDAY **

Good morning. It’s grape picking time ! # #
This Sunday 27th , we plan to pick our last rows of grapes at Westfield Farm , Fimber YO25 9LY starting at 10 am . The weather is set to be good.
We are looking for up to a dozen volunteers to join us for the harvest. Could you spare a couple of hours and join us ?
It’s an easy enjoyable job and you will be given lunch and a bottle of our wine for your trouble . Snips and gloves will be provided .

A day in the vineyard today. The recent windy wet conditions blew the vines out of their foliage wires. The arduous job of tucking them all back in follows. See before and after pictures . This ensures the much needed sun can get to the grapes that are flowering . Soon the bunches of grapes will form . Solaris 600 .

Good morning. It’s harvest time at last ! We are looking for volunteers to come and help us harvest the grapes at Westfield Farm, Burdale Lane, Fimber YO25 9LY this coming Sunday.15th October.

If you could spare a couple of hours on Sunday, let us know by posting on here or direct message. We will confirm back to you.
No experience is necessary and we will provide the equipment. It’s a sociable , enjoyable experience. We’ll provide food and drink and you’ll get a bottle of our wine as a thank you . Hope to see you at the weekend.

A whole lot of rose here and welcome to our newest recruit Carol Dixon as chief cellar rat . Started the tirage yesterday as 2022 sparkling is laid down in the cellar for 12 months to second ferment and create those lovely bubbles 🥂
Planning has come through to create a tasting room at Westfield so now just the bureaucracy of Licensing to navigate and a minor paint job on the " garden shed" .....😊

After 3 years in the cellar , our 2019 Blanc de Noirs Pinot Noir sparkling wine was ready for dosage to create a lovely off dry fizz . 80 bottles corked and wired ready for labelling and our first commercial sales in a couple of months time . Half a bottle left over so it had to be drunk . 6 years in the making all worthwhile! ’s Yorkshire Sparkling Wine .

The weather forecast is not good for the morning so we have provisionally delayed the start time at Westfield to 1pm.

WE WILL FINALISE THE START TIME WITH A POST AT 10AM TOMORROW.

We are so sorry for the messing around but picking grapes in the rain is not much fun !
Check back in the morning and hopefully we will still be picking.
Hot tea, coffee and warm scones will be waiting….
