The jobs on the farm are never-ending! 🌱

While many people think the season is winding down, we're busy harvesting, sorting and potting snowdrops ready for their next chapter. Harvest is going really well, and these beautiful clumps of Galanthus 'Sam Arnott' are just a few of the bulbs currently being prepared.

It's always exciting to think that the bulbs we're working on today will be flowering in gardens across the Ireland and beyond in 2027. Every bulb is carefully checked, divided and potted to ensure it arrives in the best possible condition for its new home.

A snowdrop grower's work is never done – but we wouldn't have it any other way! 🤍🌱

What a crazy few days we have had! As we sit in airport departures, Jules and I have been chatting about all we have seen and done over the last couple of days.

Yesterday we had the pleasure of attending the RHS Chelsea Flower Show press day. Getting the opportunity to see the gardens and so many amazing plants up close is always something very special. Catching up with old friends and making new ones is such an important part of the horticultural world. We all work so hard throughout the year, so having that support network around you really does mean a lot.

Today we spent the morning volunteering on the Plant of the Year stand, chatting with visitors about the incredible plants on display. One huge surprise though was being asked to attend the visit of the Irish President to the show. It was lovely to speak with the President and extra special to hear how much she enjoyed our daffodils this spring growing at her home in Phoenix Park.

Now time for a little rest before heading home, feeling very grateful for all the opportunities, conversations and friendships that horticulture brings. 🌼

Boarding our flight and heading over to London for the world-famous Chelsea Flower Show! ✈️🌸

We’ll be at Chelsea on Monday and Tuesday, so if you’re about please come and say hello. It’s always one of the highlights of the gardening calendar and we’re really looking forward to catching up with friends old and new.

The Grand Marquee is always packed with incredible displays from some of the very best nurseries and growers, and we can’t wait to see what everyone has brought this year. We’ll aim to share lots of photos and highlights from the show over the next few days, so keep an eye on our page!

Safe travels to everyone making the journey and see you at Chelsea! 🌿🌼

Early start at RHS Garden Wisley this morning for a meeting, and what a sight to greet us 🌷

The tulip display outside the Old Laboratory is an absolute explosion of colour—simply stunning and well worth an early visit. Days like this remind you just how special spring can be.

Glorious sunshine too, so once the meetings are done, it’s straight out into the garden to make the most of it ☀️

They say never meet your heroes… but on Tuesday at the RHS Awards ceremony, I finally did — after years of not quite having the nerve.

Meeting Roy Lancaster was everything I’d hoped it would be. A true gentleman. Even better, we’re both Bolton lads, so there was plenty to chat about from “back home”.

For those who may not know, Roy is one of the great figures in horticulture. A renowned plantsman, author and broadcaster, he’s spent decades exploring the world — particularly China — introducing countless plants into cultivation. His work has shaped gardens across the UK and far beyond, and his passion for plants is as strong today as ever.

A real privilege to meet him — and proof that sometimes, meeting your heroes is exactly as it should be.
