First cut silage complete this week, albeit a little later than we would of liked due to showery weather last week but hopefully still sum good feed for the cows!
Thank you once again to the Scott’s team for top job from the first row lifted to the last tyre wall at sheeting up!

Another busy day yesterday..

Vaccination of the herd for IBR and Bluetounge viruses, also tail clipping and udder flamming.
Big team effort, 5 in the pit clipping flamming and jabbing and 2 constantly moving groups of cows too and from the parlour.

We try to do this 3-4 times a year for hygiene purposes to help prevent mastitis and maintain good Bactoscan count scores for our milk contract.

Milking’s are always a treat when this has been done.

The flammig is just like getting your ears done at a Barbour’s shop!😅
