🍯 Heather Honey Dry Cured Cold Smoked Salmon 🐝

Our beautifully rich cold smoked salmon, dry cured with Scottish Heather Honey from Quince Honey Farm for a deep, floral sweetness that pairs perfectly with the gentle smoke.

The story behind the honey is rather special too. After resting through spring and early summer, selected colonies make the journey north to the Scottish Highlands, where the bees gather precious late-season nectar from the flowering heather.

Nine Great Taste stars across five products. All from a small team here in Belhaven.

It’s been quite a year for Belhaven Smokehouse at the Great Taste Awards 2026.

Their Belhaven Smoked Butter received the coveted 3-star award. The highest Great Taste star rating. While their Smoked Goat’s Cheese and Classic Hot Smoked Salmon each received 2 stars. Lammermuir Smoked Cheddar and Belhaven Cure Cold Smoked Salmon completed the haul with a star apiece.

Along with four other Belhaven products all awarded stars this year, our Belhaven Smoked Butter 🧈 received the three star award ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

.it's not easy to win three stars. In fact, as John Farrand, the managing director of the Guild of Fine Food (the organisation that runs the awards), says: “Each year, roughly 2 per cent of entrants achieve a three-star rating. This year there were 306, out of more than 15,000 hopeful products.”
