🏆 Scottish Community Retailer of the Year 2026 🏆
We are incredibly proud to announce that Premier Dunbar and Day-Today Haddington have been awarded the prestigious Scottish Community Retailer of the Year 2026 at the SLR Awards that was held in Glasgow on 17/06/2026.
This award recognises retailers who go above and beyond to support their communities and make a real difference in people’s lives.
Two initiatives are especially close to our hearts.
The first is Our Community Kitchen (OCK) in Haddington, which provides support, friendship, and hope to those experiencing loneliness and social isolation. We are grateful to Elaine and the entire OCK team for allowing us to be part of this incredible work.
The second is a primary school in Tamil Nadu, India, which we founded 17 years ago. Built, funded, and operated through our own charitable efforts, the school currently supports 86 children from disadvantaged backgrounds, providing free education, meals, uniforms, and opportunities for a brighter future. We are proud that its success and impact have since been recognised and adopted by the government.
This award belongs to our customers, friends, colleagues, and community partners. Your continued support allows us to invest in projects that transform lives both locally and internationally.
