After many, many years of loyal service, today we’re saying goodbye to one of the longest-serving members of our West End Butchers team. 🥲

He turned up every morning, took an absolute hammering, brushed himself off and came back ready to do it all again the next day.

Never complained. Never missed a day.

But eventually, age catches up with us all… and the time has come for a well-earned retirement.

Thank you for your service, trusty old butcher block 🫡

Freshly hand-prepared in-store to our own recipe, these are sold from our freezer to ensure complete separation from our gluten-containing products.

There's no compromise on taste with these, either – if we didn't tell you they were gluten free, you'd probably never know.😋

🔥 This week's STEAK DEAL is a belter! 🔥

But have you ever wondered what a Pavé steak actually is?

Allow us to explain...

Remember the old H-Bone Steak that your granny used to buy? Great flavour, but because it's made up of several different muscles all running in different directions, it could sometimes be a bit teuch.

Steak is always at its most tender when it's cut across the grain. So, by breaking the rump down into its individual muscles first, we're able to slice each one correctly - creating lean, tender medallions that still deliver all the flavour that Rump Steak is famous for.

Inspired by classic French bistro-style butchery, it's a simple technique that turns an old favourite into something special.
