Why doorstep milk tends to last longer.

Ever noticed that doorstep milk seems to stay fresher than the bottle you bring home from the shop?

It isn't a different kind of milk. It's a shorter journey.

A supermarket bottle travels through a distribution centre, sits in a chilled aisle, then spends time in a warm car boot and a shopping bag before it reaches a fridge.

A doorstep bottle goes from chilled storage, onto a chilled round, to your door before the sun is properly up, and into your fridge while the day is still cold.

Fewer stops, less time out of the cold, more days of use once it's opened.

Things we love to see!
We were delighted to be sent these fantastic pictures of one of our old 1 pint milk bottles, recently discovered at Manuel Brickworks near Linlithgow.

Bearing the name:
JOHN KERR, BALFIELD DAIRY
DUNDEE.

This bottle has certainly had a story to tell. It survived being thrown away and buried alongside waste bricks, before being unearthed recently as the site is being redeveloped. The bottle was made by UGB at Alloa, possibly in the late 1950s making it a wonderful little piece our dairy history.
It’s things like this that make us incredibly proud of our heritage. To see one of our bottles still turning up all these years later is just fantastic.

A huge thank you to Silver Cloud for inviting Kelvin, Rhys, Ritchie and Graham to their Golf Invitational at Rowallan Castle.

A fantastic day at a brilliant venue, with great company and some competitive golf along the way. Made even better by managing to come away with 2nd place!

We really appreciated the invitation and hospitality. Without inviting ourselves back… hopefully we’ll get another shot next year and see if we can go one better and take 1st place!

Thanks again to everyone involved for a brilliant day!

A huge thank you to Silver Cloud for inviting Kelvin, Rhys, Ritchie and Graham to their Golf Invitational at Rowallan Castle.

A fantastic day at a brilliant venue, with great company and some competitive golf along the way — made even better by managing to come away with 2nd place!

Team Kerr’s Dairy headed over to Dublin to support Sam Hickey and we can confirm we may have celebrated his latest win just a little bit too enthusiastically!
