Our plant-based agar jellies are not the same texture as traditional gelatin sweets… and honestly, they are not pretending to be.
If you are expecting soft, stretchy, wobbly “gummy bear” style sweets that bounce around like rubber tyres from the future — these are not that.
These little creations have developed their own personality somewhere between:
• a jelly
• a chew
• and a crunchy fruit cube that refuses to obey modern confectionery laws.
Some batches may be:
• firmer
• slightly crunchy
• less flexible
• suspiciously determined to hold their shape
• capable of surviving emotional damage better than most humans, trust us, we have lost our wits with these.
We lovingly refer to them as:
“Crunchy Jellies”
“Chaos Cubes”
“Fruit Bricks”
or occasionally:
“The Agar Experiments”
Why?
Because agar behaves differently to gelatin. It sets firmer, reacts differently to temperature, and generally likes to remind us it came from seaweed and not a pig.
The upside?

✔ Scientifically confusing
Texture may vary slightly between flavours and batches because we are constantly refining recipes while trying to stop the jellies from evolving into structural building materials.
