Thursday 18th June and still 7 spaces available for our stay and play session at Cam Youth & Community Centre.. here's the set up.. while the principle layout is the same we've changed up some of the toys and large ride ones for a bit of variety.. hope you can join us!

10-11.30am snacks and drinks included and all spaces are per adult, with each adult covering up to 2 children 0-4.

Tomorrow morning Friday 19th we are at the GDA in Gloucester with our Glow sensory play set up and we still have 6 spaces to fill our end.. remember everyone is welcome you don't need to be deaf or have a deaf child to attend.

That said- if you have a deaf/hard of hearing child in your care whether you are the parent, grandparent or childminder or are a deaf or HoH adult yourself then you can book the Gloucester session via the GDA and they will be on hand to offer any support if needed.. the GDA has some funded reduced price spots for this purpose.. 💚

Our new Discovery session, something different every week..

No expectations, completely child led, let's see what they come up with.. 🥰

Huge shout out to Gloucestershire Resource Centre - Scrapstore for all the materials! 😍 That place is an absolute hidden treasure that I had no idea existed until someone told me about it last Friday!! I also managed to get some bits for our chutes and tracks discovery session next week.. membership purchased we'll be making more visits there for sure!! 😉🥰

⛺✨ THE DISCOVERY SESSION: TOMORROW! ✨⛺

​Our brand-new session continues tomorrow (Tuesday), and the hall is getting a total makeover! We are opening the doors to The Great Fabric Canopy.

​The Discovery Session: An ever-changing invitation to play for all ages.

​What’s happening tomorrow?

We are using our 1.5-hour session to completely change the space, dropping the vertical height of the room using lots of lightweight fabrics, organza, space blankets, and blackout sheets draped over structures to create hidden dens and secret tunnels. Inside, we’ll have gentle sensory lights, textures, pegs, and bands to explore.

​There are no instructions and no set tasks. We set the invitation, and your little ones lead the way for the full 90 minutes.

​How all ages (0-4) will play:
​👶 Babies & Crawlers: Will love rolling on the different fabric textures, watching the fairy lights, and playing peek-a-boo through the sheer organza.

​👦 Toddlers & Preschoolers: Will love claiming a den as their "secret base," transporting toys inside to hide, or building onto the structures to make them bigger.

​For the grown-ups (parents, childminders, nannies, and grandparents), it is a beautifully calming, environment. Put your feet up, enjoy a hot drink, and watch your child’s natural play urges and imagination take over.

It's a new week and a reminder there is no session running today!

We are back tomorrow with the 2nd session of our new Discovery sessions.. this one's called the Great Fabric Canopy! All of these sessions have all ages 0-4 in mind so don't be put off if you only have a little little one.. 💚

Not going to lie, when I first came up with this idea I wasn't sure how it would turn out.. but I've wanted to do it for a long time, so we finally bit the b**let..

taking all the toys away and leaving 22 children aged between 10 months and 4 with a hall filled with all types of recycled cardboard, Tape, stickers, crayons, chalk and tools and that was it, no instructions, no rules, just 1.5 hours of open ended child led play, watching their imagination and creativity come to life.. (well we also had our usual snacks and drinks too!)

It was a great session from what I witnessed, for all the ages that came.. for those that attended what did you think..?

Week 2 of our new Discovery sessions is "the Great Canopy".. whose joining us to find out what it'll entail? 😉

No rules, no toys, no expectations just child led play..

What happens when you fill a hall full of cardboard and tape of various sorts and stickers and crayons and chalk, and safety cardboard cutters.. and lots of children 0-4..

I guess today we'll find out!!
