Well… it appears summer has finally remembered where the UK is.

While we’re all busy pretending we love 30°C+ weather, this is your friendly reminder to look after yourselves this week ❤️

💧 Drink plenty of water
🧢 Stay out of the midday sun where possible
👵 Check in on elderly relatives, friends and neighbours
🐶 Keep your furry friends cool and avoid those scorching pavements

If you’re struggling with the heat, you’re not alone. Even those of us surrounded by walk-in fridges all day are finding ourselves lingering in there a little longer than necessary… purely for work reasons, of course. 👀❄️

We’re open as usual throughout the heatwave, ready to help with everything from BBQ essentials to easy dinners that don’t require turning your kitchen into a sauna.

Take care of yourselves, be kind to each other, and if anyone sees us hiding in one of the fridges, no you didn’t. 🤫😂

We’re open as usual throughout the heatwave, and with our walk-in fridges and temperature controlled Cutting Room, we’ve probably got the best workplace in Gloucestershire this week 😎❄️
(I might move my laptop downstairs and join the butchers this week!)

We’re even thinking of offering 5-minute fridge breaks for overheated customers… there could be a queue! 😂

“My under-the-counter umami seasoning is now available for everyone to enjoy and it's become one of our best selling products to date. Massive hit with our Street food customers too for dusting on their chips, tater tots and fried chicken!

When I crave a takeaway this is the flavour that my whole being is calling for. Very low on the heat scale but life changing on the flavour side. Super salty, with a hit of roasted fennel, anise, garlic and blackened with coconut charcoal.

It's amazing dusted chips as soon as they come out of the oven or fryer - the greasier the better as it'll stick easier. It's also the missing ingredient to all of your fried rice and stir fry dishes. Dust it on fried chicken straight outta the basket. The sky's the limit.”

“SUPER LEAN, NO ADDED SUGAR. HEAVY PEPPER BRISKET RUB THAT'S GOOD ON EVERYTHING! ALSO GOOD FOR DIETS LOL

THE IDEA WAS TO CREATE A NICE CRUNCHY RUB THAT AMPLIFIES BRISKET FLAVOUR WHEN SMOKING. IT'S HEAVY PEPPER, SMOKED SALT AND LOTS OF TASTY SPICES AND DOESN'T 'FLAVOUR' IT WITH ANYTHING TOO DISTRACTING.

TURNS OUT THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVOURITE SEASONINGS WE'VE EVER MADE AND I DID OUR SMOKED TURKEYS WITH IT FOR XMAS. I HAVE SCRAMBLED EGG WITH IT VERY OFTEN. I EVEN BROKE OPEN A BIG BAG OF CHEESE AND ONION CRISPS WHICH F*CKING SUCKED AND HAD S**T ALL FLAVOUR SO I DUMPED A LOAD OF LONE STAR IN AND THEY BECAME PEPPERY SALTY TASTY WITH ADDED CRUNCH!”
