The Egg Shed Very Fresh Free to Range Eggs! Very tasty eggs from traditionally reared free to range hens-who can roam free in their tree planted paddock!

Peter has been involved in the egg business for a very long time (since 1989) - initially building up to 25,000 Free Range hens in a multi aged site, producing, packing, marketing and then delivering 50 miles North, 50 miles West and to 50 miles South of Coldstream. Eleven years ago moved to Earlston - continued with 13,000 Free Range supplying one large packer - last summer made the big decision

to jump off the production line and have only 70 hens! The demand for very fresh local eggs has been outstanding, so he decided to increase the flock size to 350 hens!

Can't believe it's been over 2 months since I posted on The Egg Shed site - hope you had a good Xmas and wishing you a prosperous New Year - we have been very busy but not quite busy enough, it's been a bit peaks & troughs!
The weather today is overcast, grey & damp and forecast going forward is more of the same for at least the next week - yuck!
To cheer yourself up why dont you make a cake or do some batch cooking - whatever you decide, come to The Egg Shed and get stocked up, remember we're open every day 8 till 8! See you soon!

Goodness me 20th September, it's feeling more like 20th of October - gloomy, grey and dreich! Who's beginning to start thinking about turning the heating on? Better start cooking up some comfort food for the nights in - remember The Egg Shed is open every day from 8 to 8!

Not posted for a few weeks - been waiting for the sun to start shining, summer has been a bit disappointing so far!
Thinking we'll just have to make summer things, to make us feel good inside - start with ice-cream!
