With the weather getting colder and harvest almost over it's time to crack out a familiar favourite. Silex was made for autumn. Soft stoned fruit, a light toasty tone and a richer feel on the palate that will hold up to heartier autumnal foods. Curl up with a book somewhere warm, grab a cheeseboard and settle in with a glass of Silex.

Simon Buck Photography After a sell-out concert last year, classical guitarist Alexandra Whittingham returns in November to perform for us again.

Alexandra is an internationally acclaimed performer who is signed to the Decca Classics label, has been featured on Classic FM, and has performed at prestigious global venues.

The Guardian recognises her as a "young 21st-century virtuoso”, and it has been said that her creative spirit is reshaping classical music and defying conventions.
