Today we said goodbye to our beloved business.
So many reasons behind us making this heartbreaking decision but overall we strongly believe it is the best for our family and future.

I’ll keep it short and sweet (haaa no I won’t!)
Borough Bites was a whirlwind of learning, stress, success and too many hurdles!
The cherry on the cake being the wonderful human being who took it upon themselves to complain to the council about our business which spiralled us into the decision we have been making over the past 3 months.

She has gone to a lovely new home in Falmouth where she will continue to serve food by the sea!
Iv taken a quite moment to gather my thoughts and just want to thank everyone again who supported us on our journey starting and running a business.
I take my hat off to everyone who owns a business it’s terribly hard work without the children and busy family life in the background!

2024 brings exciting new times for us as a family and for now im concentrating on supporting my husband in his ventures and watching my little people grow before I throw myself into any other crazy ideas 😂

We’re so sad to report that our marquee unfortunately became victim to the recent storm ‘Babet’ and can no longer be used. I’ll be honest it’s been a REALLY hard few months.

Every ounce of hard work we have put into this business seems to have been constantly met with a hurdle to jump over. Topped off nicely with a recent complaint to the council by a very kind citizen ..whoever you are 🖕🏼

Right now we are unsure of the future of Borough bites which breaks my heart.
I definitely haven’t been myself lately, I haven’t been present enough as a mummy and I have been trying to do it all which just isn’t possible.
With that we have decided to close for the winter to give us time to think of our next move going forward, spend some much needed time as a family and enjoy the next few exciting months (Christmas and lambing!!)

Our girls are our main priority and the stress of all of this has put a lot of pressure on us as a family. We are having a really hard time juggling it all.

We are incredibly grateful for everyone’s support throughout our journey. Thankyou!
Sorry to ramble on.. it’s been a hard one to admit!

What a crazy busy week we’ve had.. sorry for the radio silence!
Between farming, helping friends with sheep, pony rides and late silage bales we have had a shiny new gas griddle fitted in the trailer 🔥

Darcey has been helping us prepare tomorrows tasty cakes this evening.. (she should have been in bed!!)
