We’ll be there celebrating the best of our county’s food culture, sharing what we’ve been crafting for the year ahead, and meeting the brilliant people who bring local produce to life on shelves and menus.

🎄Christmas Events 🎄

We can’t wait to see you all at our events this year.

This Friday in we’re doing a tasting of our Range.

Then in a weeks time we will be doing a tasting of our and , on the same weekend we will then be going down to for their wonderful festive day.

Now the week after is the crazy one as we’re on the 2nd floor of at their winter market with our , some say this is the first time in 7-8 years that there will be a mustard stand back in Norwich, now that is exciting we will need your knowledge and research on this!

Then we have 3 events on at the weekend with Christmas Markets , , and 🎄

The pretty huge news is… that we are genuinely delightedly handing BrayCo, HQ, the pies, the sausage rolls and our brilliant team into the very capable hands of essence_foods_uk.

We’ve known and very much liked the Essence family (Sarah, Ed and Archie) since we started, eighteen years ago. When I said that we were retiring they asked to come to HQ for a chat and one thing very quickly led to another.

The Essence team (who also make Monty’s mustard and run The Old Dairy Cafe) have been working with us at HQ for the last couple of weeks and Derek and I will be there until the end of September.

The pies and sausage rolls will stay just as you know and love them, made by the same people in the same lovely flint barn overlooking the sea, and still available in all the best places, as well as online. We’ve had wonderful messages about the news from our stockists, who are all very happy - which I think is a great endorsement of the collaboration.

It’s all just pretty wonderful I think. The ideal way for Bray’s Cottage Pork Pies to stride into a very rosy future.

Exciting news we are hiring for a few part time roles here at Essence Foods.

Essence Foods is a forward thinking Norfolk Food Manufacture looking to fill a few positions that have become available due to continued growth.

Firstly with an increase in paperwork and invoicing we are looking for a Part time Experienced Book Keeper who has knowledge of Quickbooks & Kashflow.

Secondly for our hospitality Venue , we’re looking for a part time front of house member to join our team.
