☀️Heatwave Update☀️

The forecast certainly didn’t disappoint today did it?! With that in mind, it’s currently 36° in the bakery and that’s before we’ve turned a single oven on, so we’re going to be closing tomorrow as it’s not cooling much overnight.

Tomorrow night is set to be cooler so currently we are still open again from Thursday as usual, but again please do keep an eye on our social media for updates.

If you have bread on order for tomorrow, please pop us a message and we’ll be happy to move your order to another day to suit.

☀️ El Scorchio ☀️

Right chaps, we’ve all got weather apps, some of us might even watch a weather forecast, and we all know it’s going to be a hot one this week.

At the moment, our plan is to open the bakery as normal, as the hottest parts of the day are forecast to be in the late afternoon, after we’ve closed. However, we’re going to be constantly monitoring temperatures in the bakery and if we feel it’s becoming too hot to work safely then we’ll call it a day - our staff’s wellbeing comes as a higher priority than anything else.

Keep an eye on our social media channels as this is where any closures will be advertised and please, if you can, come down to the bakery as early as possible when the temperatures are (a little bit) cooler. And, if you feel so inclined, say a little prayer for me baking this week - I’m not sure I’ll need to use the proofing cabinet!

The sun is coming out ! It’s Tuesday again, and we’ve got a few treats today…

We’ve got the shelves loaded with all the usual favourites, but we’ve added a couple of extras today - yes, there are pastries and quiches !

Almond croissant with your coffee..?? Mediterranean Veg quiche for lunch ..??

Lots of tasty options, so head on down..! We are open til 3:30 today

We’ve made sure to pack the shelves high though, the perfect tonic for a bit of miserable weather!

All your usual favourites, including our delicious sundried tomato focaccia, plus our new line of crusty sandwich submarine rolls - just the ticket for a hearty rain-busting lunch!

Need a pick-me-up for your grey Saturday? What better than a warm selection of pastries from the counter!

All of your usual favourites too, plus a very special Spelt, Walnut and Sultana sourdough to brighten your morning!

Wasn’t that rain refreshing this morning .? But it’s shaping up to be another warm one, so why not head down to the bakery and grab some goodies for a picky tea later..?

We’ve got quiches and focaccia on the counter, and we’ve got something perfect for those cheeses from the fridge ! It’s a Stout, Walnut and Sultana loaf and it’s sooo tasty..!

And if you’re quick there may be a few surprises too for a Thursday .. 🤫

It’s going to be a warm one this week 🌞

With that in mind, and with working the bank holiday weekend, we’ve taken the decision to close this Tuesday for the benefit of our staff - the bakery itself runs 10-15° warmer than ambient! It’s looking like it’s cooling by Wednesday, so we’ll be back open then, and we thank you for understanding.

Remember, stay safe and hydrated, and we’ll see you guys when we’re back!
