DONāT MIND ME āļø
As you know, our coffee machine got an upgrade today as we welcomed our new retro piece of equipment to the Biagioās family.
I was like a kid at Christmas this morning, but if Iām honest, a little nervous too.
My old machine and I understood each other. Iāve lovingly made coffees on that wonderful machine for almost 4 years, but Iāve always dreamed of a traditional lever machine, so when the opportunity arose, I jumped at the chance.
But upon install this morning, I found myself getting nervous, feeling disloyal to my old machine, apprehensive about whether it would live up to expectations and ultimately, make for an EVEN BETTER coffee experience for you guys.
Before we opened, I poured my first espressoā¦delicious!
Then anotherā¦deliciousā¦
Then another, just to be sureā¦absolutely deeeeelicious!
Beautiful velvety crema, testament to our wonderful quality locally roasted Biagioās coffee beans, but definitely made from the power of a machine that gives me the control over the pre-infusion and pressure curve of my shot.
Something other machines just donāt offer.
What I didnāt expect was a queue before weād turned the sign to āopenā and jam packed coffee shop allllll day long, with no time to ease myself or my new machine into our new relationship.
So we were definitely put through our paces and it was the best way to trail run the first day with well over one hundred espresso shots being pulledā¦each one as perfect as the next (apart from the one that ended up on the floor and all over me during my āIām adaptingā period š«£)
Honestly, best espresso pull day of my life, so donāt mind me just polishing my new baby as we get ready to do it all again tomorrow.

Weāre open 10.30am - 3pm Thursday & Friday and then closed on Saturday this week.
