Having been vegan for the last 5 years and vegetarian for 25 , I have developed a passion for producing good wholesome food without the need for any animal ingredients. My aim is to get past the label that 'vegan food is boring and tasteless ', I fed my mum vegan pies for years before I told her that they didn't actually contain meat ! It’s not perfect, has its flaws but I’m very proud that it went out on time 👍

I’ve just delivered these spinach ricotta and pomegranate hand pies to cafe join on Pevensey road Eastbourne 💚

I’m starting of slowly so I don’t overwhelm myself, but I will be adding some more bits over the coming weeks 👌

I’ve had a lovely couple of days away staying The Miggi vegan guesthouse in Devon.

It’s so lovely to stay in a place which you know holds the same values as you and know no dairy or meat has come into contact with you or your food.🌱

The rooms are all booked themed and we stayed in the Tolkien room 📚

Breakfast is soo good, I had a big cooked breakfast with homemade seitan bacon, so good, to baked croissants with cheese and bacon👌

We had dinner at the guesthouse for two nights which was prepared by the fabulous Phoenix All Good Things Vegan

I didn’t take many photos because I was too busy stuffing my face with food😃

We need to support all vegan businesses so we can continue our fight in ending animal abuse and saving the planet 💚

Lots of vegan choices in many of the local restaurants and cafes including Banana Blossom and chips from the local chippy ( all cooked separately)

Highly recommend…..go book yourself a couple of days away 🌏

I can’t believe you’re all still here supporting me, even though I’m lurking around in the background. Your continued support means the world to me ❤️🌏

It’s been quite rough lately… I lost my beautiful dog Peanut after 17 years of her being by my side, and I have been suffering with a chronic illness which is as debilitating as it sounds. I’ve had to change a lot of things in my life! And it has led me to thinking about the good old days of baking!

Going through all my photos for the things that I used to make, and the events that I did is making me get butterflies 🦋

I miss seeing you all. I miss your conversations, and the friendship and I miss being part of that vital vegan community we desperately need more of! 🌱❤️

Sooooo… I’m thinking of maybe starting off with something small to get back into the swing of things?!

Well hello, been a while huh ??

Apparently I have 3 days to prove my page is still worthy otherwise it will be removed 😞ha !

So here I am!

I got re awarded my 5 * hygiene rating in sept 2024 so I'm still registered with the council. I haven't totally gone away, I'm still lurking in the back ground wondering whether I should dip my toes back into the baking again???

Its been a while since I have shown my face around, so here I am !😘

Hellooo, remember me ??

It’s been a while hasn’t it!

I’ve decided to come out of hibernation and take part in the Food /drink day at the climate hub at Gather in the Beacon.

I will be there selling my goodies on the 17th of February.

This is the only event I have planned at the moment!

Not gonna lie I’m a little nervous getting back in the kitchen 🤨 let’s hope I still got it !

I’m looking forward to seeing everyone, I have missed you all 💛

So I’ve come to a decision whilst I’ve been away!

I am taking a big step back from this business of mine, I won’t be taking any more personal orders, I will pop up from time to time with some goodie boxes but that is it from now on 💛

It’s hard work being the only person running the show the rise in food costs is just immense that some times I’m at a loss! I used to be able to get 6 Sausage rolls out of one pasty pack, I can’t even get that now and they have all reduced in size but cost more 👀

It’s very isolating and I miss being around people, I’m proud of how far I’ve come but I’m ready for my new challenge ! I’m going back into full time employment in an area I’m very passionate about and one where I can use my degree !

I thank you all for your support friendly faces and the friends I’ve made along the way 😊

I’ve been quiet again haven’t I ! 🙌

I’m having to take a back step to focus on some personal family issues, I won’t be gone forever, it’s just temporary 💛

I’m hoping to pop up every now and then as and when I can,but for now I’m needed else where 🥰

Any prior orders/ events I’ve booked will still be going ahead.

I’ve had a fair few followers lately and seen some lovely new faces and been asked if I’m the face behind it all ….yes it’s me 💛

So just a little reintroduction to me ….👏

🙌I’m Sherri, 43 year old vegan ( 8 years ) I stopped eating meat when I was 11 years old and becoming vegan was naturally the next step for me! 🙌

I have always been so very conscious of the planet, had a love for animals, and been attuned to the needs of others, you would often find me walking out the pet shops with the ugly looking animals no one wanted ! My poor mum 😂

My love of cooking / baking came about when I had my son who I also brought up as a vegetarian I got my my first vegetarian cook book and homemade all his meals ( brownie points 😛). I used to get questioned even then ‘ what you not giving him meat ‘ …. I’m jealous of him in the fact that he has never eaten meat!

I love to read and spend days in old book shops the older the better, I love snuggling up with my old girl Peanut, I love the countryside and going for walks of the beaten track!
