Don’t cry over spilt milk… but this one hurt a bit 😅🥛

Disaster during this morning’s milking with — a milk pipe burst off and we lost around 350 litres straight down the drain 😞

Can you believe it’s actually rained? 🌧️

After nearly two months of dry, dusty fields, the sound of steady rain feels almost surreal. Just days ago we were staring down the barrel of a farmer’s worst nightmare — back-to-back drought years.

Big things happening on the farm! 🐔🌱

Alex (my nephew) and I have just started a brand new venture — we’ve brought in 40 COB meat birds and they’re now settling into life out in the fields with Bridget keeping a watchful eye.

These birds will be reared slowly and naturally, enjoying fresh air, grass, and plenty of space — just how it should be. We’re really excited to see how this batch comes along over the next few months.

They’ll be ready and available on the website this August, so keep an eye out!
