Established in Edinburgh, Scotland, in 2020, Rutland Square Spirits Ltd began with Rutland Square Gin, paying homage to our great-grandfather, Tej Ram. An entrepreneur and visi

onary, his humble beginnings in Dibrugarh, Assam—the land of tea and lush greenwoods—and his enterprise in blending whisky have inspired us to revive his legacy. Tej Ram migrated to Assam as a teenager, starting his career in the forest department. However, his entrepreneurial spirit soon led him to establish his own whisky blending business. Honouring his legacy, we have embraced his pioneering vision to create distinctive spirits that combine the best of tradition and innovation. Tea from Dibrugarh, Assam, is a key ingredient in our blends, perfectly married with Scotland—the home of spirits and purest water. Our gin is handcrafted in small batches in the heart of Edinburgh by one of the most talented and experienced master blenders. We use only the finest botanicals, sourced carefully and sustainably, to create the world’s first Oolong-infused Chai Spiced Gin. Each bottle embodies a seamless fusion of heritage, craftsmanship, and a passion for excellence. Now, we are thrilled to introduce our latest creation—a new handcrafted Rum. At Flavours of Bharat, hosted by the India in Canada in Ottawa, we were proud to share our Chai-Spiced story with Canada—celebrating heritage, craftsmanship and the tastes that connect cultures.

Today is National Mojito Day & we are bringing our Chai Spice to this classic to make it the perfect Summer cocktail to quench our thirsts!

Ingredients:

- 50ml Rutland Square Chain Spiced Scottish Rum
- 1 tablespoon of sugar
- 10ml of Lime Juice
- 50ml of Soda Water
- 50ml of Ginger Ale
- Small handful of mint leaves
- Ice

To make this delicious cocktail…use a highball glass & add crushed ice then pour 50ml Rutland Square Chai Spiced Scottish Rum, then add the soda water & ginger ale. Next, add in & combine the lime juice, sugar & mint leaves, muddling the mint. Use a long spoon to mix everything together.
