We have always believed that the best food and drink discoveries happen in independent shops. That is why we keep Quas out of the supermarkets and work with people who genuinely care about what they put on their shelves.

Today we are delighted to announce that Quas is now available at Sol Food Southside in Edinburgh.
Opened recently by Jordan Denholm Walls, this brilliant deli at 108c Causewayside is a true hidden gem in Newington. Jordan has built a space dedicated to careful curation. The shop brings together the vibrant flavours of Spain and the rich heritage of Scotland, offering specialty produce you simply will not find anywhere else.

It is a perfect home for Quas. We make our drinks right here in Edinburgh by reimagining a 1,000-year-old tradition. By fermenting rye and barley with sourdough cultures, we create a complex, non-alcoholic drink for adult palates. Every can is all-natural, vegan, low in sugar and contains 6.7g of fibre. Our Original and Ginger flavours are also Great Taste Award winners.

If you are in Edinburgh this Saturday, come warm up with us at the Scotland Vegan Festival (special Christmas!) at Granton Campus (link in the comment below).
The Quas team will be there all day (10:30–16:30). We know it’s getting chilly, so we’ve engineered a solution: Hot. Spiced. Quas.
We are pouring it fresh from the keg alongside our usual cans. It’s a great chance to chat with us about how we brew, what fermentation actually does for your gut, and to stock up on drinks for December.

After being in the semi-finals three times in a row, we've finally broken through to the final stage! We'll be pitching live on 9th May alongside some truly incredible founders competing for this prestigious prize!

This is a major milestone for Quas and recognition of our innovative approach to gut health through fermentation. The funding would unlock our next stage of growth, allowing us to scale our production of shelf-stable Quas and expand across traditional distribution channels throughout the UK and begin our export journey to the EU!

🎉 BIG NEWS! We're thrilled to announce that Quas has been selected as a semi-finalist for Scottish EDGE Round 25! 🎉

This funding would be transformative for us, enabling:
✅ Production of our new high-fibre, shelf-stable Quas formulation to access traditional on/off-trade distribution and wholesale channels
✅ Setting up our pioneering pilot facility to produce kvass from waste bread - the first beverage globally utilising 100% bread waste

Perfect timing too! Recent data presented at the "Innovation and Reformulation for Health" conference showed:
- 90% of UK adults fail to consume the recommended 30g of daily fibre
- Gut health is the #1 functional food benefit consumers seek
- Fermented products like sourdough have seen 57% growth in 5 years

With 900,000+ tonnes of bread wasted annually in the UK, our circular approach not only tackles the fiber gap but creates environmental impact through waste reduction.
