😭♥️ Tomorrow is the last day of The Bonnie Nook! 😭♥️

As a thank you for all the love i have felt over the past 9 months, YOUR DRINKS ARE ON ME TOMORROW! Swing by and grab yourself a free coffee, tea or hot chocolate which i promise to TRY to not season with my happy tears 😭😍

I will be open for drinks 8:00 - 13:30 (or until sell-out) and here for hugs and chats beyond that!

I will be posting a few of my favourite pictures over the next few days to celebrate and reminisce before this account becomes history!

As most of these will be dog pics (not sorry) let me use these non-dog pics to again say thank you to you all. I will miss seeing you all at the box enormously (you are all gorgeous beautiful people). BUT! Edinburgh is a village and so I have no doubt that I will see many of you around!

Hello lovely people, it’s been a minute, I know, I missed you too!

As you may know, The Bonnie Nook and the superstar that is Zoe Gamble will be finishing her time in the police box on Friday the 16th Sep.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Zoe for the wonderful work she had done in my absence keeping the police box going and you caffeinated.

I couldn’t have asked for a better person to take my place whilst I was recuperating.

I know you agree.

I am sure that whatever is next for Zoe, she will shine her beautiful smile all the way to success.

As for what’s next for DelishYoss Coffee Bar.

Recovery had been long and complicated but I’m getting there.

I am expecting to receive the all clear on the 30th Sep, and get back into the police box as soon as possible after.  

I expect that I will be easing back into it as I’m still building my strength up, and must be careful of further injuries at this crucial juncture. The bone is fully healed but the muscles around it are catching up.  

Slow and steady is the best way I’m being told.

I will be sure to let you know what that means in terms of opening times as soon as I work it out with my physiotherapist, But the good news is that I’m coming back at the beginning of October, and will be there to do my best to lighten up your dark and gloomy winter days with a smile, a tune and a cup of something hot.

And now if you’d excuse me, I’m gonna catch some rays in Greece, store some memories of heat before the impending winter cold, and I’ll be with you shortly.

The Bonnie Nook closes up shop on Friday 16th September ♥️♥️♥️

On Friday 16th, The Bonnie Nook will close officially ending my time at the Broughton Road Police Box and allowing for the great return (hurrah!!). He has been so kind to let me takeover for the past nine months and im sure he can’t wait to be back in it himself! 🤩

It goes without saying that I have loved every minute that I have spent dishing out coffee and chatting to you lovely lot over the past nine months. Its been a wonderful thing. I hope to get to see many of you before I close! 💕

Until then, will be bringing the ruckus 🚀☕️and will be providing me with all the baked goods you could wish for 🍪👨‍🍳. Absolute Gems 💎 (( ps pls bring your dogs 🐶 ))

Our house coffee will be Spaceboy’s Fazenda Zaroca Brazil.

Process: Natural
Varietal: Yellow Bourbon
Altitude: 1150 masl
Tastes like: Plum, Milk Chocolate and Hazlenut

“Beautifully balanced and incredibly well-structured, this coffee has it all. A rounded plum acidity sits above a sweet, smooth chocolatey body, ending with a soft melon sweetness. The crowd pleaser of coffees.”

Tomorrow is the Edinburgh pride march and every day I’m reminded how important it is to go and march together, united against ALL hate. It can be easy to forget that behind the joy of the day a very real message is being shouted by everyone in attendance.

Q***r Love and Q***r Lives are valid, important and human.

Come march tomorrow if you can (make sure to message me if you want some company!) because no matter how comfortable you feel there are people both in scotland and around the world who are still faced with hate for existing in their truth and being PROUD of their truth. Visibility is powerful!

The Bonnie Nook is a q***r business in a q***r part of Edinburgh and so today Im celebrating and remaining visible in the hope that one day our siblings don’t have to fight for the right to be treated with basic kindness.
