We just completed the postgraduate student accommodation clearouts! Working with The University of Edinburgh we saved over 1 ton of items from going to landfill! Most has been sorted and redistributed to other charities with specific requirements, and some has gone to our charity shop on Grange Road ✨

We want to say a HUGE Thank You to Connor Burns for helping us raise £2433.88 over the Fringe Festival❤️
This will help us continue our food distribution efforts and contribute towards improved heating in our community space to keep our vulnerable people nice and warm over the winter months ✨

We're so pleased to be able to send medical supplies to Ukraine. Our partner charity Sunflower Scotland do an incredible job getting the supplies to those that need them, driving all the way from Scotland to Ukraine ❤️ The situation doesn't seem to be getting any better unfortunately, war is a terrible thing 😢💔

As well as giving a large amount of supplies to charities in Edinburgh on a daily basis, we also give to other countries...

As well as giving a large amount of supplies to charities in Edinburgh on a daily basis, we also give to other countries, this includes Ukraine, Cuba, Pakistan, India, and now Gambia! 🌍
We are helping fill this shipping container full of any and all children and baby items, clothes, furniture, adult and children's nappies, anything and everything really! 🙏
We ask that any donations are not bought but are in excess to what already exists, that's in good condition to pass on, as we are a zerowaste charity. So if you're having a clear out or work with a business that has excess please do let us know.

Today is Joel's last day with us ❤️
He came to Edinburgh for his Masters degree in Education, now that it's complete he's heading home to Paraguay to start an exciting new journey in a position in his field that's been awaiting him 📚🧑‍🏫
It's been a joy to have Joel as part of the Goodies team, we always knew it was a temporary thing, he'll be missed, especially by our regulars and those that have attended the lively Spanish group💃

We wish you the best for your next steps in life, I'm sure you'll do great things for education in Paraguay ✨
