Danke, Hamburg! 🥃

Ben, Becca and Lily had a fantastic time at Wh**ky Live Germany, representing Murray McDavid and Aceo Spirits for a brilliant weekend of celebrating wh**ky and fine spirits.

It was exciting to showcase so many of our latest bottlings, including the launch of our Smoky Scot Island Peat Edition – Orkney Release, as well as our Osprey 10yo Oloroso Sherry and 15yo Bourbon cask in Germany, which all proved to be real hits with wh**ky lovers.

Thousands of visitors came through the doors over the weekend, and we want to say a huge Danke schön to everyone who stopped by our stand, shared a dram and took the time to (re)discover our whiskies. It was fantastic to meet so many old friends and make plenty of new ones too!

When in Warsaw! 🥃

Last week, we had a fantastic time representing Murray McDavid and Aceo Spirits alongside our friends at M&P Alkohole Wina Cygara at the XVII M&P Pavlina Festival, held at the historic Forteca on 8–9 October.

Bringing together more than 160 exhibitors from the worlds of w**e and spirits, the festival was a great opportunity to connect with fellow wh**ky enthusiasts, share our passion for Scotch wh**ky and showcase the Art of Maturation.

Our new single casks exclusively selected and bottled for M&P were also a big hit! 🙌

Hamburg, we’re on our way! 🥃

We’re heading to Wh**ky Live Germany this weekend, and we’re excited to be back in Hamburg for two days of great wh**ky, new discoveries and plenty of familiar faces.

Becca, Ben and Lily will be representing Murray McDavid and Aceo Spirits at the Congress Center Hamburg, ready to share some of our latest releases including Aceo Spirits' new Smoky Scot alongside our Autumn and Islay releases.

With more than 2,000 visitors, 120+ brands and around 70 stands expected across the weekend, there’s going to be plenty to explore! 👀🥃

🥃 Let the barley shine.

Our latest Benchmark release brings us to Balmenach, one of Speyside’s oldest distilleries and a first appearance in the Murray McDavid Core Range.

This 12yo single malt has been fully matured in first-fill Bourbon barrels, allowing the creamy character of the spirit to meet the mellow influence of American oak.

🍌 Creamy banana, vanilla and chai latte on the nose.

🍯 Waxy, honeyed cereal and cinnamon on the palate.

🍋 Lush malt, sweet oils and lemon peel on the finish.

A cask-led expression that lets the sweetness of the barley take centre stage.

🥃 32 years in the making.

The latest Coleburn Deluxe has had plenty of time to find its rhythm.

This 32yo blended Scotch wh**ky brings together an ensemble of single malts and top-quality grains, all matured in a traditional Oloroso Sherry butt.

Old-style Sherry butts, with their thicker staves and larger capacity, encourage a slower, gentler maturation — allowing the wh**ky to develop gradually over time.

🍊 Orange oils, sweet spice and old oak.

🍐 Barley sugars, stewed fruits and floral notes.

🌿 Heather, vintage malt and a long, classy finish.

A beautifully mature wh**ky, ready to be enjoyed.

What a weekend in Gent! 🥃

Lily had an amazing time representing Murray McDavid and Aceo Spirits at Wh**ky Festival Gent, with three days of delicious wh**ky, great conversations and plenty of familiar faces alongside lots of new ones.

It was also the first launch of our Aceo Spirits Smoky Scot Island Peat Edition – Orkney Release in Belgium, and it proved very popular throughout the festival! 🥃

There were plenty of highlights on the stand, with our 37yo North British, 31yo Miltonduff and 17yo Highland Park proving particularly popular. Ard-LESS 16yo was also a real star, with the name putting a smile on plenty of faces!

From our new Autumn Release, the 13yo Ben Nevis also made an appearance and seriously impressed.

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by the stand, shared a dram and said hello. It was brilliant to see so many old friends and meet plenty of new ones ❤️🥃

👑 Fit for a Royal.

Royal Brackla has a rather distinguished history. In 1833, it became the first Scottish distillery to receive a Royal Warrant, granted by King William IV.

For our 15yo expression, this noble Highland single malt began its maturation in a traditional Sherry butt before being further matured in PX Sherry barriques from Bodegas Ximénez-Spínola.

🍫 Milk chocolate, walnuts and cookie dough on the nose.

🍎 Creamy malt, mixed berries and red apple on the palate.

🥐 Dried cranberry, fudge and cinnamon pastry to finish.

Two Sherry influences, one richly layered Highland single malt.

🐺 Taming the Beast.

Mortlach is affectionately known as the Beast of Dufftown, and its bold, robust spirit needs a cask with enough character to match it.

For this 18yo expression, we first matured the wh**ky in American oak before giving it a final four years in a PX Sherry-soaked barrique from our cask partners, Bodegas Ximénez-Spínola.

The result?

🍎 Baked apple, waxy notes and dried apricot.

🍑 Chewy malt, mellow toffee and peach.

🥐 Brioche, stroopwafel and buttery spice.

A fitting example of how the right finishing cask can bring a whole new dimension to a powerful spirit.

👑 A new chapter. Introducing The Kingdom’s Finest.

Our latest Mystery Malt takes us to Fife and the pioneering spirit of Strathenry.

This 5yo Lowland single malt from Inchdairnie was finished for a year in Oloroso Sherry casks from Bodegas Ximénez-Spínola, where the Sherry was made using sweet Pedro Ximénez grapes rather than the more traditional dry Palomino.

Despite its relatively young age, the combination of bold Lowland spirit and unusual Sherry influence has created something with plenty of depth.

🍫 Fudge, almonds and milk chocolate.

🍎 Creamy toffee apple and dried mango.

🍇 Dried fruits, spice and barley sugars.

Young wh**ky, plenty of character — and another example of the at work.

🏔️ A Highlander with a twist.

This 13yo Ben Nevis began life at the foot of Scotland’s highest mountain before spending its finishing years in a cask from Jerez.

Matured in American oak and finished in Ximénez-Spínola Oloroso Sherry casks, this expression brings together hearty Highland spirit with a rich Sherry influence.

🍇 Sweet raisins, toffee and brown sugar on the nose.

🍏 Lush malt, dates and candied apple on the palate.

🌰 Toasted almonds and mellow oak spice to finish.

The twist? The Oloroso Sherry in these casks was made using the sweet Pedro Ximénez grape rather than the more typical dry Palomino.

A familiar tale of Sherry and Scotch, with a different ending.
