We spend so much time chasing certainty. Watching this warabimochi come together in a time-lapse is a gentle reminder of how fluid reality really is. Nothing is truly absolute, and what we perceive as an inevitable fact is often just a fleeting illusion. There’s a profound line in the Heart Sutra: ”Form is emptiness, emptiness is form.“ We try so hard to hold onto feelings, people, and moments, expecting them to be solid, but maybe true beauty lies exactly in that impermanence—finding presence in the spaces where nothing seems to exist at all. Anyway, here is our freshly made Japanese warabimochi. Sometimes the kitchen just makes you overthink.
