Longrow 11 from Cadenhead's has been matured in fresh rye and bottled at 55.9% ABV. It costs £85, but I split this bottle so got half the volume for half the price. The fresh rye makes for an intriguing maturation, with many divisive opinions on it, but what do I think.

Coming up this week, we'll be delving into a recent Cadenhead's release that featured this Longrow matured in fresh rye casks.

A somewhat divisive wh**ky between the community, and reviewers online, but I'll give my own opinion on it and we'll see if it's a Wh**ky Win or a Wh**ky Bin.

Dufftown 16 year old is from a recent outturn from Cadenhead's. This particular bottle has been matured fully in bourbon and is bottled at 50.2% ABV. The bottle cost £85, but I split this bottle 2 ways.

Another and this time it's a Glenfarclas.

I've not really been one for Glenfarclas until the lot did a distillery tour there. After that, I had to try more and experience what more the distillery had to offer.

Currently, I want to try more of their OBs, but I'm also wanting to see what IBs are on the go, as I want to see what the variations are between distillery and independently bottled.

Anyway, this dram was quality, and I believe I got a little bargain on the auction. So, here's to more whiskies like this 👌

My only regret about this photoshoot, I didn't get a proper closeup of the bottle. Oh well, Jura is the main focus of this, and all, photoshoots 😅

This Little Brown Dog Spirits ltd Craigellachie was bottled to help fund the guys' rallying adventures, and I'm all for that. I wouldn't say I'm at all into rallying, but I do love cars, and that BMW is exceptional 👌

I'm looking forward to seeing what this has to offer.

Longrow 21 from Cadenhead's was bottled at 44.1% ABV and cost an eye-watering £300! It has been matured solely in bourbon which should allow for the Longrow character to fully shine. With the age and the price, surely this is a belter.

Another bottle from a recent tasting with family.

I'll admit, I've not explored as much Glen Garioch as others might have, but thankfully I have tried the 1st, 2nd and 3rd chapter of this wee series as my wife's papa has them. They're decent whiskies that could easily lure you into Glen Garioch if you're a novice to the distillery like me.

Has it lured me in? Not yet. I will aim to try more Glen Garioch, and I'd be interested in trying both OBs and IBs, but for now, my eyes are on other distilleries.
