Here at the Brewing Society we are passionate about beer and everything which surrounds it. Our main activity of the academic year is our Charity Beer & Cider Festival which has been running successfully for 32 years now. Throughout the year we organise pub crawls, showing students were they can get the best pints in Edinburgh and brewery tours. Our Charity Beer & Cider Festival has grown consider

ably over the years and we now host the third largest beer festival in Scotland. In 2016-2017 we really pushed the boat out and had 86 beers in cask and keg and 24 casks of cider, which meant over 7000 pints in two days for over 1500 students. This makes our Charity Beer & Cider festival the largest student organised event on campus all year and as always "Heroically drinking for a cause!"

The tour kicks off at 5:30 pm on Wednesday 25th February. If you need a lift, meet us outside the John Muir Building at Heriot-Watt University at 4:45pm - we leave at 5 sharp!

Yup it’s that time of year already!

The 38th Beer Festival is only a matter of weeks away.

Join us on Friday and Saturday the 21st and 22nd of March for a wide range of cool and interesting beers from 12-12.

We will also be looking for some volunteers to help us pour some pints so if you like the sound of free beer drop us a dm!
