What a fun day!

The Summer Fair was a big success & we are grateful to have had so many brilliant makers, brewers & importers all in one venue.

Room 2 is where we show local breweries, ciders & Alby’s were pumping out hot dogs all afternoon! What a winning combo!

We love the fact that the Summer Fair is such a huge mix of things on offer. Beer people come for the breweries but also discover new cocktails & sake they enjoy. Wine lovers come for the 50 wines open & end up enjoying the cider & perry pet nats too. It is a great opportunity to try lots of new things & explore different categories while having a chat & a hot dog in the sunshine!

We actually can’t wait for the next one.

Huge thanks to

We have got a new range of delicious Little Pomona ciders/perries/wines! 🍎🍏🍐🍇

First up we have two new barrel aged ciders.

‘When Burum Met Pomona’, a still cider aged in ex Chardonnay casks and ‘Balls Bittersweet’, named after and made with an unusual local apple variety, this cider is reminiscent of ‘Yarlington Mill’ with lovely depth aged in ex Cognac barrels.

Next up ‘Disco Nouveau’, a return of a big favourite of our in house Pommelier Sandy. It is the first cider of the year using the Discovery apple variety. A lovely fresh aromatic cider, great for sharing at a picnic whenever the next sunny day arrives. 🪩 🌞🪩🌞🪩

Followed by two special bottles that combine grapes along with the apples & pears…

‘Hard Rain’ is a ciderkin using the second pressings of the apples to create a lighter alcohol cider which has been refermented on Siegerrebe grapes grown just down the road in Worcestershire. A very refreshing cider with lots of Gooseberry and peach flavours… ideal for weeknights at only 3.8% abv.

‘To Boldly Go’ is made with equal parts pears and grapes cofermented together to create something quite special. The pears bring body and some honeysuckle aromatics with the grapes showing more yuzu, peach and bright acidity. This would work well as an aperitif or with some thai green curry.

Finally, a staple here at Cork & Cask, Little Pomona’s ‘Table Cider’ which shows juicy fruit, gentle sparkle, supple tannins and modest alcohol to make a delicious addition to any table. 🧺

A HUGE THANKS to those that joined us at our Summer Fair last weekend! We had sun, clouds, showers & then sun again but vibes were high!

It was a beautiful busy fun filled day.

These are some excellent highlights from Room 1
that was filled with wine, spirits, liqueurs & sake.

It was a huge effort from so many to pull it together & bring such wonderful energy for a very busy 4 hours!!!

Thanks to those who poured & to those that drank!

You can look forward to seeing the shenanigans in Room 2 soon - full of beer, cider & hot dogs!

New sunshine wines here in time for the bank holiday weekend! 🌞🌞🌞

These are a small selection of the wines Vanessa will be pouring on her table at the Summer Fair. Will be a lovely table to visit & see what she has on offer.

Featuring…

Pet Nat from Stellenbosch, South Africa, made with Verdelho grapes. Brimming with citrus, green apple & tropical fruit hints. 🥂 🍾 🍏

Austrian Orange from biodynamic farm - this is a fan favourite on our orange shelves as full of ripe orange, lemon, grapefruit & floral aromatics. 🍊

Very special dry Riesling from giving lime zest, lime leaf with a savoury salty finish. 🍋‍🟩

Falanghina from volcanic foothills in Campania, Italy. This white is perfectly summery with juicy aromas of rose, preserved lemon & nectarine. A delightful seafood, grilled fish BBQ wine. 🍋 🐟

Godello from is for the fuller bodied white drinker, a rounder mouthfeel with flinty, smokey & nutty flavours balanced by lemon & pineapple. 🍍 🍋 yum!

New wines at the Summer Fair (& on our shelves!)

Make sure to visit Monika’s table at the fair & try all of the wines she will have open as most of them are brand new which is always exciting!

Francois Ducrot is a small independent natural winemaker working in the south of France with a focus on purity, drinkability, and minimal intervention. Vineyards are farmed organically, fermentation is with native yeasts, and little to no sulphur is added. We have a new Pink Pet Nat, an orange wine & a light red from him. They feel perfectly Summery for the season!

Artisans Partisans bring together four organically farmed estates between the Corbieres and Limoux appellations in the south of France. All wines are certified organic, fermented with indigenous yeast, and produced without added sulphites, with biodiversity, agroforestry, and respect for the natural environment at the core of everything they do. We have a Chenin Blanc, a Grenache and a Carignan. Looking forward to hearing what you make of them!

All these six new French organic wines are under £20 🍇🌱🌳🇫🇷

Cider at the Summer Fair 🍎 🍏 🌞

The great thing about the Summer Fair is the sheer range of items open for tasting. There is something for everyone & a wonderful opportunity to try lots of new things! Cocktails, Scottish made vermouth & liqueurs, beer, wine, sake, cider & hot dogs!

There will be two cider tables at the fair showing an incredible selection of UK ciders from

These Lanthorn bottles are firm favourites in the shop -

Founded by Peter Crawford in 2020 on his family estate in Balmarino, he and his wife Sarah planted hundreds of trees which they now harvest to produce these elegant ciders.

Red Label - A blend of hand-picked cider apples, varietals include Harry Masters Jersey, Black Dabinett and Stoke Red. Slightly more tannin and slightly less acidity than the Blue. Complex and delicious.

Blue Label - A blend of hand-picked eating and cooking apples, carefully selected, pressed, fermented and then finished in oak barrels to create a smooth, vibrant and fruity style of cider.

Black Label - A blend of Stoke Red and Kingston Black creates a beautifully complex and layered palate with notes of banana, leather and pine nut. It perfectly brings together the brilliance of these two fruits alongside the sumptuous oak fermentation to create a wonderfully moreish cider.

Woodrow’s of Edinburgh newest releases have caused quite a stir. 🥃🌾💥
It is great to see such interest & support for a local independent bottler who we have worked with for years now.

Clynelish 10 Year Old is a classic Highland single cask with all the hallmarks of the distillery’s signature style, precise, waxy, and quietly complex, bottled in a pure, unadulterated form.

Cambus 34 Year Old is a beautifully mature single grain, where long ageing has transformed a lighter spirit into something soft, complex, and quietly luxurious.

Ben Nevis 18 Year Old is a robust, characterful Highland malt, shaped by long ageing and a measured sherry influence that adds depth without overwhelming the distillate.

Glendronach 20 Year Old is a more restrained, quietly complex take on the distillery, where long ageing in refill wood allows spirit character to take the lead over cask influence.

Please pop in for a chat & a taster if you’d like to work out your favourite.

We have a great range of their whisky on the shelves currently & samples of:
Glendronach 20
Cambus 34
Clynelish 10
Glenrothes 11
Campbeltown 10
Burnside 14 Tawny Port
Burnside 14 Ruby Port

Plus their Jane Street whisky releases.

Thanks to Woody & Megan!

What’s a pickles favourite TV show? Dill or No Dill

🥒 We hope you guys relish these new beers!!!!

New Pickle beers in from Barney’s to be enjoyed with or without some Torres Pickle crisps!

We doubt the pickle beers will last until the end of the month when will be pouring at our Summer Fair, they have been absolutely flying out!
But the table will still have so many tasty things on it.

Grab your tickets & pickle beers in store or online. If you come in the shop then Sam may also tell you more pickle jokes. 🤹🏻‍♂️
