Hi everyone 😎 We said we would keep in touch and let everyone know how we are getting on.....
Since selling our house and leaving Balerno in August 2019 we have been on a bit of an adventure! We were supposed to have been moving to a croft in Ardnamurchan but due to unforeseen circumstances the sale fell through leaving us without a house.
We had bought an old coastguard building in Lochinver which we were going to convert into a holiday bothy for friends and family. This was a weekend project so we had purchased a small touring caravan to sleep in whilst renovations were taking place. Little did we know this was to be our home for the next 13 months!
The Old coastguard Station is now finished and available to rent. It ended up being much more than a "holiday bothy" as you will see from the pictures. More pictures available from https://www.facebook.com/theoldcoastguardstation
please get in touch if you would like to discover Assynt and rent the Old Coastguard Station. It will not be available from any other platform until next year.
We now have a house with a business in a wee place called Inverkirkaig a few miles from Lochinver and hope to open a cafe next spring. We will keep you all posted.....

Hi everyone, just to let you all know Vanilla Pod is now sold and trading again on Leith Links, why not check it out sometime!
Keith and I have sold our house and are now living in Lochinver in a caravan 😊 We are very happy, however we haven’t had a winter here yet 🥶

Cheers to all of our fantastic loyal customers who have supported us throughout the 5 years we have been at Harlaw. Vanilla Pod has been a great success and it’s all thanks to you. 😉 You will all be very much missed. I will keep you posted from my page with what the next chapter brings for us and hopefully we will see some of you again in the future.
Here are a few familiar faces we see a lot. Apologies to anyone who has been missed. Many thanks to you all and hope to see you on Sunday for our very last day 😢

On this Vanilla Pods penultimate weekend, we have lentil & tomato soup, date & ginger cake, blackcurrant shortcake and apricot & pecan broken biscuit cake. Remember Vanilla Pod will only be at Harlaw on Sunday next weekend for our very last day ☹️

Chickpea & tomato soup this weekend from Vanilla Pod as well as peach Melba slice, white choc & raspberry brownie and rhubarb crumble slice.
Remember Vanilla Pod will be closed on the Saturday the 15th June (Friends of Pentlands fundraiser) with Sunday the 16th June being our last day before we close permanently ☹️

Vanilla Pod will be back at Harlaw this weekend 😎 (25th&26th May) We have broccoli & cheddar soup on Saturday and butternut squash soup on Sunday. The cakes are lemon drizzle, carrot & walnut and white choc & mango brownie (wheat free). Hope to see you there 😉
