Earlier this month, members of the Lakes and Dales Co-op enjoyed a fantastic wild food foraging workshop at Harehope Quarry, County Durham.
Guided by expert forager Jill Essam, the group learned how to identify edible plants, explored the quarry's incredible variety of wild food species, and even turned their foraged finds into delicious homemade dishes including salad, fritters, and nettle soup. π₯β¨
With sunshine, great company, and plenty of new skills learned, it was a memorable day for everyone involved!
