In 1968, Mr George Urquhart launched the Connoisseurs Choice range with a simple ambition: to provide whisky enthusiasts with a rare opportunity to enjoy a dram from distilleries seldom seen as single malts.

George Urquhart — known affectionately as ‘Mr George’ — created our Connoisseurs Choice range in 1968 and was instrumental to the popularity of single malts. His legacy is with us today; not only in the whisky but in the passing of his knowledge to future generations.

Gordon & MacPhail’s unique experience, matching a wide variety of different types of spirit to our own bespoke casks, enables us to create rare single malts of impeccable quality found nowhere else.

This ultra-rare single cask whisky, bottled at cask strength, reimagines the black label found on the first bottlings ever released in the Connoisseurs Choice range back in 1968.

Expect flavours of sweet tangerine and stewed raisins on the nose, with orange marmalade and dark chocolate on the palate. A full, long finish with citrus undertones and black pepper.

Inspired by one of the most powerful signs in the eastern zodiac, this limited-edition single malt Scotch whisky provides the perfect way to celebrate the fire within.

Vanilla custard combines with toasted hazelnut notes on the nose. Followed by cocoa powder, rich sultana flavours and vibrant autumnal spices. A medium-bodied and long finish with lingering citrus peel.
