Whisky isn't just about the liquid—it is about the moment it creates.

Inspired by the ancient figures in the Book of Kells, ‘The Dram Takers’ series celebrates the sharing of a great pour.

This 1966 expression from Benriach Distillery has waited nearly six decades for this moment.

On the nose, it offers a delicate balance of festive spices and forest fruits, leading to a palate of toasted oak and dark chocolate.

A whisky of this vintage is a witness to history—one best shared with those who truly appreciate the art of patience.

George Urquhart — known affectionately as ‘Mr George’ — created our Connoisseurs Choice range in 1968 and was instrumental to the popularity of single malts. His legacy is with us today; not only in the whisky but in the passing of his knowledge to future generations.

The Connoisseurs Choice Heritage is our tribute to that legacy. By reimagining the iconic
original ‘Black Label’, we continue his mission to highlight the inquisitive nature and patience
required when maturing whisky.
