We are open as normal until then and hope to see you all before we close this site.⭐️

🍦The cabinet will be full of some great flavours and we are well stocked with 1 litre tubs if you want to stock up!

We’re happy to take orders for 1 litre tubs if we have the flavours available, I’ll pop a list out soon!

We hope our new kitchen will be open in the next couple of months but our new parlour is planned to open in Spring.

☔️We’ve never been so happy to be absolutely soaked through ☔️☔️whilst working the farm! It’s been a long wait.

Like many farmers the grass situation here is very bad. It’s not grown for weeks and weeks. Crops are poor and there is virtually nothing to graze.

The grass we harvested earlier in the year to store for winter is being used to feed the cows right now. We desperately need this rain to replace our stocks. 🐄

Across many parts of the country the story is the same and it’s beyond the control of us farmers - we just to what we can do survive, adapt and become more resilient.

So the rain is so welcome today! ☔️☔️☔️

Exciting update on our move!

We are really pleased to share that our cherished brown swiss cows have settled really well into their new home at Deefields Farm. We are so proud of the new facilities embracing latest technology and aspiring to the highest standards of welfare.

The cows are now being milking by GEA Farming robotic milking machines and they have taken to them a treat. After 12 weeks of milking here they know the system inside out and are so relaxed and happy to milk themselves whenever is right for them. Its a joy to work in such a chilled environment.

The robotic slurry scraper will keep the floor clean for them and the robotic silage 'pusher upper' will keep food where they can reach it. Every need is catered for - even some relaxing night lights to help them rest. As farmers its been a big learning curve for us, very exciting and we are loving the new approach.

The gelato is still in the same location at Brooklands but we no longer use, own or operate the farm facilities. All of our stock are now here at Deefields.

We are busy preparing the new gelataria and tea room at Deefields - it looks amazing but still a lot of work to do! We will stay open in the usual place until the end of the season and then we will update you with next steps!

This has been a huge project, and far from finished and there are so many people and businesses that have played their part in ensuring that the cows have the very best. Thank you so much to you all!

😎What’s the occasion???

We were delighted to receive this image from one of our regular customers! Following a walk around Llyn Alwen and Brenig it was time for ice cream! 🍦

💕We hear so many ‘reasons’ for an ice cream and it’s a joy to be a part of those stories.

Whether it’s an ⭐️ afterschool treat, ⭐️meeting up with family, ⭐️a bike ride destination, ⭐️after the gardening reward, or just ⭐️a sneaky treat without the other half knowing!! (you know who you are!😂) we are pleased to hear them all and honoured that you have chosen to make us part of your day. Thank you!

An early harvest for the organic wheat this year, all now safely in.

The wheat grain is harvested for animal feed and the straw is baled for bedding. All proudly grown organically without artificial fertilisers or chemicals.

☀️The dry weather has been a challenge this year and generally the wheat has coped well albeit in some areas the straw is shorter than usual. The ground conditions are absolutely baked dry with huge cracks appearing in the fields so it’s a wonder that anything grows!

Oats will be next on the harvest agenda but need a little longer to ripen and then we pray for rain ☔️ (at nighttime of course!!) as the grass is desperately needing it now!!
