Breeding and rearing native breeds of cattle and pigs on our croft in Elphin, in the NW Scottish Highlands, we strive to produce a continuous supply (when not sold out of the prime cuts…) of quality beef and pork. With an on-farm butchery unit, we aim to keep our food miles as low as possible with livestock taken on a short journey to the abattoir at Dingwall, before being delivered back to us for
processing. Orders can be taken direct, with a list of available produce on request, or through the online Open Food Network selling platform for The Green Bowl (see website link – The Green Bowl operates on weekly order cycles, see link for details). All of our meat products are frozen soon after processing, to ensure they are received by our customers in tip-top condition! Additionally, we have free-ranging ducks and hens to provide a supply of eggs, availability largely dependent on season/weather…
Recently, we have also branched out to produce a small amount of baking and seasonal vegetables for sale through The Green Bowl. Continuously looking to improve on what we produce; we welcome any feedback our customers may have!
