At Zenith Nurseries, we’re proud to offer not one, but two specialised facilities that ensure our produce is grown, handled and delivered to the highest standards:

✨ 1. RTE “Washed & Ready to Eat” Salad Factory
Opened in 2018, our BRC AA-accredited facility is dedicated to hassle-free, salad-ready leaves for processors, caterers and restaurants.

Whether it’s spinach, wild rocket, watercress, pea shoots or a custom mix, we wash it, pack it and send it — ready to go.

✨ 2. Fresh Produce Packhouse
Our packhouse is where our baby leaves (often harvested the morning of packing) are packed into bags or punnets, giving you maximum shelf life and flexibility.

We offer a wide range of pack sizes (bags 20 g-1 kg; punnets 50-150 g) and tailor our leaves to your exact requirements—single-component or multi-leaf combos.

Have you actually seen spinach grow?

In the time-lapse, spinach begins as a scatter of small seeds pressed into dark soil. Days pass in seconds. Moisture settles, light shifts, and the first tiny sprouts push upward, thin stems lifting pale green tips into the air. Each sunrise nudges them taller. Leaves unfurl, soft and tender, trembling slightly as if surprised by their own growth.

Week by week, compressed into a heartbeat, the plants thicken. Their leaves broaden into smooth, rounded fans, deepening to a lush emerald. What normally takes up to two and a half months rushes by in a green blur: stretching, unfolding, reaching. You see the quiet determination of each plant as it becomes full and leafy, vibrant and alive.

On the gentle slopes overlooking the Amalfi Coast, where the sea breeze mingles with the scent of citrus groves, grows one of the most striking greens of the season — Bulls Blood Chard.

With its deep crimson stems and tender green-to-purple leaves, this baby chard is more than just beautiful — it’s packed with iron, antioxidants, and earthy-sweet flavor. Harvested young from the rich volcanic soil of Salerno, our Baby Leaf Ruby Chard Salad celebrates freshness, color, and balance.

🥗 Recipe: Baby Leaf Salad with Bulls Blood (Ruby) Chard

Ingredients:
3 cups baby Bulls Blood (Ruby) chard leaves, freshly harvested from Salerno
1 handful baby spinach or arugula (optional, for variety)
1 small apple or pear, thinly sliced
2 tbsp crumbled goat cheese or feta
2 tbsp toasted walnuts or hazelnuts
1 tbsp dried cranberries or pomegranate seeds

For the Dressing:
2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1 tsp Dijon mustard
1 tsp honey
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar or lemon juice
Salt & freshly cracked pepper to taste

Instructions:

We’re proud to share that our rocket (arugula) comes straight from the rich, sun-soaked soils of the Salerno region in Italy, a place we visited just last week to watch it grow and be harvested by our excellent gorwers.

Spicy, vibrant, and bursting with character, this rocket is nurtured by passionate farmers who care deeply about their craft. From seed to plate, every step is rooted in tradition, expertise, and respect for the land.

Recipe Idea

A rustic wooden board with 3–4 bruschetta slices, heaped with bright green rocket and halved cherry tomatoes. A drizzle of olive oil glistens on top, with a lemon wedge.

Ingredients (serves 2–4):
1 handful fresh rocket (arugula)
4 slices rustic Italian bread
