A first for us on the farm this morning!
While feeding the bulls we came across a hedgehog nesting in the straw.
We counted at least 3 little Hoglets hiding away, so we’ve covered them back over and left them in peace to hopefully live a long and lovely life here 🌳

Our first calf of the year arrived this afternoon in glorious spring sunshine ☀️

Our lovely English Longhorn, Balsam, has been doting on him ever since. He’s already had a good feed of milk and has been cleaned up beautifully.

Many cattle herds follow the alphabet when naming their calves, and last year all of ours began with the letter Z. This means we’re right back at the beginning again with A!

These are some of the kind comments we’ve received from our lovely customers lately and we are now sold out of our rare breed Tamworth pork sausages!
But fear not!! There are more on their way!
We’ll also be thinking about ways we can spice up our pork boxes for barbecue season, so if you have any requests or ideas please drop us a message.

Not many people are thinking about Halloween in April, but us pumpkin farmers are🤠
This week we have been busy preparing our ground for this year’s pumpkin patch 🎃
You might notice it is in a slightly different, more scenic location this year, with stunning views of the Cotswold Hills ⛰️
We also have something else very exciting coming to our fields this summer so keep your eyes peeled on our social media for updates 👀🌻🌷🌻👩‍🌾🌷

🌼🐣 What an EGG-ceptional day we had yesterday for Easter on the farm! 🐣🌼

Thank you to everyone who came along and made our very first Easter event a success.

The sunshine showed up, the farm was full of laughter, and it was great to see so many of you enjoying it with us. Sharing Piddle Brook Farm with you all is what we love most, and your support means everything.

Today we’re soaking up some family time this Easter Sunday 🐰 but don’t worry, we’ll be back soon with more exciting plans in the works!

⏰ Time: 10am – 3pm
📍 Location: School Rd, Salford Priors, WR11 8XN
🎟️ Tickets: No need to prebook – just turn up!

✨ What’s On:
🥚 Easter Trail around the farm – £2 per child
🐑 Meet the Farm Animals 🫏
🚜 Tractor & Trailer Rides – £3 per person (babies in arms go free)
🥩 Pop Up Shop - treat yourself to some locally produced beef or pork for your Easter roast
🎟️ Meat raffle - be in for the chance to win a £50 meat hamper
☕️ Refreshments & sweet treats 🍬

👢 Good to know:
• Wellies are recommended, especially for the Easter trail
• The trail may not be pram friendly
• We are a working farm, so expect mud, mess, smells, and uneven ground – but that just adds to the fun, right? 😄
• This is a fully outdoor, rustic farm experience 🌾
• No dogs allowed (for the wellbeing of our livestock)

And most importantly PLENTY of fresh air and smiles to run wild 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️
