We know… it’s HOT! 🥵🔥

In fact, even if you’ve spent the entire day indoors with the curtains shut and a fan pointed directly at your bits, you’ll still know it’s hot because Facebook has only mentioned it roughly 7,000 times already. ☀️😂

Now then… last night’s game.

What did we all think? Because we’re pretty sure the weather provided more entertainment than 90 minutes of that. 😴⚽

We had over 400 prediction comments and only 2 people got it right, so we’ll be posting the winner later. Thankfully it won’t take long… unlike sitting through the second half. 🤣

Today’s customers arrived with one mission:

“Leave them with nothing.”

Mission accomplished. 🫡

This morning the counters were overflowing.

Tonight we’re basically displaying crumbs and good intentions.

We’ve never refilled stock so many times only to be repeatedly humbled by people who apparently see a full counter and take it as a personal challenge.

The speed at which things disappeared today should probably be studied by scientists.

The staff are exhausted, the counters are traumatised, and somewhere out there is a customer saying, “I only popped in for one thing,” while carrying enough food that we assumed they were opening a rival business on the way home.

Honestly, we cannot thank you enough for the support. It’s completely bonkers, slightly concerning, and we’re incredibly grateful for every single one of you.

At several points today we genuinely thought we’d caught up, only for another queue to appear out of nowhere like a side quest we hadn’t unlocked yet.

We’re closed tomorrow while we restock, recover, and try to explain today’s events to our suppliers, who are probably convinced we’re making half of this up.

We’ll be back on Monday from 7am–1pm, with replenished counters, fresh stock, and what remains of our dignity.

Thank you for absolutely rinsing us.

Well, would you look at that — the sun’s decided to stick around a bit longer! ☀️

After that heatwave a few weeks ago, we thought we’d used up our annual sunshine allowance, but thankfully not!

To make the day even better, loads of you wonderful people came through our doors and showed our little family-run shop some serious love.

We’re honestly not sure what’s growing faster — the flowers outside or our appreciation for this community!

Thanks for keeping us busy, keeping us smiling, and giving us an excuse to avoid doing the jobs we’ve been putting off.

We’ll be back tomorrow, stocked up and ready for another day of village gossip, questionable jokes, and hopefully a repeat appearance from the sun.
