RISOTTO! 😂

Ham and leek risotto, using the slow cooked ham hock I got from Badsey Butchers which was absolutely delicious 🤤

Even better because I didn’t cook it! Risotto is one of the things Tristan loves doing so I happily agreed when he offered to cook tonight 🧑🏻‍🍳

We’ve got another classic autumnal tea planned for tomorrow and I already can’t wait! (Please tell me it’s not just me who gets like that?) 😍

The kids are going back to school this week! 🎉

Who’s excited?

ME! 🤣

A huge congratulations to every parent who has survived six weeks of “I’m hungry,” “I’m bored,” sibling arguments and spending £68 every time you dared to leave the house. We made it—just about!

Once you’ve launched them through the school gates with an oversized uniform and a water bottle that’ll be missing by Friday, pop into Badsey Butchers and fill your fridge and freezer in peace!

No small people asking for snacks, touching everything or suddenly needing the toilet the second you start shopping. Just beautiful meat, fresh fruit and veg, fresh eggs and Dan and Chris providing the sort of peace and quiet that isn’t actually peaceful or quiet. 🤣

Stuffed into a wholemeal pitta, SW chips and a big rainbow salad 🥙🍟🥗

Just look at the size of those T-bones! 🥩

Proper steaks for proper appetites — none of those tiny little things that leave you raiding the biscuit cupboard half an hour later. These beauties have more meat on them than most people’s Sunday roast!

You may have also spotted Badsey Butchers in the Journal today regarding our extension… before the rumours start, unfortunately for you lot, we’re not extending the shop. We would if we could — Chris would have meat counters in every room and a dry-ager beside the bed if I let him.

It’s actually an extension to our family home. Apparently four children need more space… who knew? We suggested stacking them like trays of mince, but planning weren’t keen. 😂

So there’ll be no enormous new meat hall, drive-through sausage counter or T-bone-themed leisure complex just yet.

For now, you’ll have to make do with these absolute monsters — and let’s be honest, it’s not exactly a hardship!
