Shillingford Organics

Shillingford Organics Shillingford Organics 'in tune with the seasons' We have organic hens on the farm, which produce wonderful, tasty, organic eggs.

Shillingford Organics is all about growing seasonal, organic vegetables, salad, herbs and fruit to give local people the opportunity to buy great, healthy, freshly harvested produce, which is free from harmful pesticides and chemicals. Our use of green manures and well-made compost coverings ensure we optimise soil biology. The range of vegetables vary according to the time of year so you can look

forward to tasting the freshest new crops at the time when they are best, safe in the knowledge that they have not been flown in from thousands of miles away. Shillingford Organics - 'in tune with the seasons'

Martyn's farming club volunteers were planting the new permanent bed system in the events meadow today.

We planted brassicas alternating with lettuce and runner beans with lettuce in between.

The aim here is for a small area of high productivity growing, aiming to have small, easily manageable beds, with a variety of plants which can be sold and used for farm events.

Thanks to the volunteers for your help!

Send us a message if you're interested in joining on Tuesdays.

Wet garlic, also known as Green garlic, is a champion of the hungry gap.

Cooks like a leek, tastes like garlic. A super simple addition to your recipes to incorporate great for flavour.

Great for stir fry or as a base for a pasta sauce.
