What a weekend at 🤠

We kicked things off on Friday with the wonderful & Janet in the demo tent showcasing how LittlePod vanilla works in marinades and savoury dishes, perfect for a summer BBQ 🍽️

Vanilla shortbread biscuits
Work 1 tsp of vanilla paste directly into your shortbread dough. The paste distributes more evenly than extract and the bean specks give each biscuit a premium, hand-crafted look - especially beautiful on pale iced biscuits.

Chef’s tip: Dust unbaked biscuits with vanilla sugar (made from spent pods) for a sparkling, fragrant finish before they go in the oven.

We aren’t a beer brand. But we do agree, vanilla makes everything better, even beer!

Happy National Beer Day! 🍺

Did you know vanilla is a base note in so many great beers? Our LittlePod vanilla & chocolate extracts are used by some of the UK’s premier breweries to add that quality finishing note, and we’ve got a little history with beer ourselves.

Our very own vanilla beer once won a Gold at the Great Taste Awards AND was selected by the All Party Beer Committee at the House of Commons to accompany a coffee panna cotta at the Chairman’s Dinner.

Whilst we sadly don’t brew it anymore, if you fancy a vanilla-inspired beer moment, try adding a dash of LittlePod vanilla to your favourite pint - Guinness works a treat.

👉 Cook like a chef - here is a top tip from our ambassador chef,

Vanilla coffee syrup for lattes  -  Homemade coffee shop flavour - and a lovely gift

Simmer equal parts sugar and water with 1 tsp vanilla paste and 1 tsp coffee extract until dissolved. Cool and bottle. Stir into hot milk for a homemade vanilla latte - or drizzle over ice cream.

Chef’s tip: Makes a beautiful handmade gift in a small glass bottle with a ribbon.

What a fantastic weekend at Plymouth Flavour Fest! 👨‍🍳

Our Chef Ambassador, , took to the stage to showcase LittlePod products in action, treating the crowd to a delicious Chocolate, Vanilla & Coffee Cake topped with a rich chocolate ganache.

There’s nothing we love more than seeing real vanilla bringing people together through great food, and it was wonderful to share a taste of LittlePod with so many fellow food lovers.

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by to watch, taste, and say hello. Keep an eye out next week when we’ll be sharing Peter’s recipe (and a few behind-the-scenes snaps from the baking process too!) 🍰

Have you ever wondered how chefs use vanilla in professional kitchens?

We spent some time with Nikki at The Salutation Inn as she talked us through one of their beautiful desserts and all the different ways real vanilla is used throughout the dish.

What we loved most was hearing how vanilla isn’t there to overpower other flavours – it’s there to bring them together, enhance them and help every element to shine.

A big thank you to Nikki for taking the time to share her knowledge (and making us very hungry in the process! 😅).
