THIS CAKE IS LIT

I always enjoy creating something special for my other half’s birthday…this year I totally blew him away (pun intended!) It started with a game of ‘find the cake’😄and ended with him in total shock and disbelief that this was cake. It is apparently the best cake I’ve ever made🥰

Chocolate cupcakes filled with cherry curd and layered between chocolate ganache and ganache buttercream. All, apart from the cherry curd, was coloured black and then sprinkled with a little gold sparkle ✨ I over poured the ganache to get that melted wax effect and I just love how it came out.

It was an absolute pleasure making this cake for such a gorgeous couple. Given pretty much free reign on a cake is such a privilege...when it's the wedding cake, it's nerve wracking and exciting and shows a level of trust I'm so pleased to have built with the wonderful Rio and Yan.
