On Saturday night, Jane had the great privilege of performing stand-up at the People’s Cheese Final 2026, held at St Mary’s Church in Wendover.

And what a brilliant evening it was! Congratulations to all four finalist cheeses (and their makers) and especially to Roger from Whitelake Cheese, whose beautiful new sheep’s milk cheese Tuppence was crowned champion! 🧀🎉

We are jolly excited to let you know that the first batch of our 650g Mature Clothbound Truckles are now available to pre-order, with delivery from Tuesday 3rd November.

Matt (pictured below) has been carefully looking after these cheddars as they have slowly been maturing. You may remember that we first launched a small batch of these truckles two years ago and they went down a treat for Christmas 2024. They were very much missed last year, so we’re particularly pleased to have them back.

These mini truckles will make a fabulous and unique Christmas gift or a rather special addition to your own cheeseboard. They are available exclusively from our website and Cheese Shop.

Christmas delivery dates are now open. Our last delivery date before Christmas is Wednesday 23rd December.

A few photos from Saturday’s event in the Cheese Shop.

The afternoon included lots of cheese and chat, with Mary’s cheesemaking demonstration, tastings from the different stages of the cheesemaking process and Jane’s perfect bites paired with local ciders and beers.

A huge thank you to Jane, Matt, Mary and Megan for bringing the afternoon together and to everyone who joined us and made it such a lovely occasion.

We’re looking forward to running more events in the Cheese Shop soon!

Our Cheese Shop in Newton St Cyres has had a little refresh and we’ve added some more exceptional British cheeses to the counter!

You’ll now find Blue Shropshire, Tunworth, Waterloo and Rollright in the counter alongside many other cheeses, from blues and bries to goat's and sheep’s milk cheeses, as well as our entire range of clothbound cheeses. So do come in and have a taste.

Our glorious and utterly moreish Cheddar Curd is now available to buy from our website and from our Cheese Shop in Newton St Cyres.

It is so easy to eat a considerable amount straight from the packet without even realising it, but you must try adding it to your autumn/winter dishes too!

A few photos from Matt our Product & Commercial Development Lead (pictured below in our ageing room) that he took during his time up North last week. He spent a fascinating few days at the amazing Courtyard Dairy in Settle for the Northern Dairy Cheese School taking part in Seminar 3: Coagulation (Rennet), an in depth look at how rennet can influence the moisture content, make and final cheese.
