Cocktails. Pizza. Long tables by the marina. That sounds like a very good Thursday night to us.

For this year’s Taste East Devon festival, The Point and Bar Buoy are coming together for a relaxed Pizza & Cocktails Night in Exmouth.

We’ll begin with a Margarita, a little of the story behind Bar Buoy and a cocktail demonstration from Tim. Maisie will share the story of The Point and bringing Exmouth Marina to life, before everyone sits down to pizza, charcuterie and tapas-style sharing boards, with a sparkling Seabird Paloma served alongside.

Think feast night rather than formal tasting: carefully chosen ingredients, generous food, beautifully balanced cocktails and plenty of time for a good catch-up.

We couldn’t think of a more fitting backdrop for our Hugo Spritz. 🎾

It is a quintessentially British take on the Italian classic, made with , English white w**e from **ery in Cornwall and elderflower liqueur from on Dartmoor. A proper celebration of British ingredients.

Light, floral and refreshing. Just add strawberries and cream… and a bit of sunshine. 🍓☀️

So, earlier this week this happened...

Our canned Margarita completely sold out! 😱

Then, this email landed in our inbox from a customer announcing they’re suffering from ‘Bar Buoy Margarita withdrawals’. (Honestly, this isn’t a made up message!) and we worried there might be a few more of you out there also questioning when you can get your hands on some more…

And the good news is we’re busy making more and fresh cans will be back on board tomorrow.

We’ll be honest, we sometimes wonder whether we’re a tiny bit biased when it comes to our Margarita. But when messages like this start appearing in our inbox, we feel quietly reassured that we might just be onto something.😆

A huge thank you to everyone who’s been enjoying our Margarita so far this summer. Every order, review, recommendation and slightly dramatic email 🤣 genuinely means a lot to our little team here on the Devon coast.

Ahhhh what a fabulous three days the Summer Festival. The sun shone, the atmosphere was beyond special and the people who came brought all the right vibes with them.

Thank you to the whole of the Darts team for being the hosts with the most, and for inviting us and our cocktails along.

And thank you Devon for producing such awesome food & drink, an amazing farm yard setting AND a top rugby team many of whom enjoyed a well earned day off at the festival today. CHEERS 🏉 ☀️ 🍸 🍻 🥩 🪩 🎵
