Best Bar None is an inclusive national awards scheme for all licensed premises across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, building on good practice and leading to an enhanced customer experience. Best Bar None raises standards and rewards excellence of those venues that attain the Award standard. This is delivered at a local level by active partnerships between the industry, local autho

rities and police. The Awards are based on core national standards with local flexibility to ensure they address local needs. Assessment of premises is carried out by trained, impartial assessors, who ensure a consistent approach. The assessment criteria are clear and straightforward with a minimum of bureaucracy. Constructive feedback is provided to all entrants.

Research shows that reports of domestic abuse increase during these periods. This highlights the importance of ensuring that those affected know where to access support and that communities remain aware of the signs of abuse.

Domestic abuse charity, Hestia has launched its campaign for the World Cup season. They also offer the Bright Sky app, a free and confidential tool that can help people recognise the signs of domestic abuse, find advice on supporting someone safely, access local and national support services, and locate safe spaces in their community.

In preparation for the tournament, Bright Sky has also been updated with guidance on supporting people during major football events.

Following site visits by our head judges to our twelve semi-finalists, they have narrowed it down to the final six. This year has been a tough and rigorous competition, and all twelve operators in our semi-finals were amazing.

We can't wait to meet our final six for the final judging day at Sky HQ on June 15th, before we announce our winner at our Summer Event on June 16th.

⚑ Between April and May, Isaac had the pleasure of carrying out the assessments and seeing first-hand the hard work and commitment from teams across the airport to create safe, welcoming, and responsibly managed environments for passengers.
