πŸ’š A huge thank you to the 50+ Food Heroes who joined us at North Camp Methodist Church this morning! πŸ’š

What a fantastic session it was, with a lovely warm and friendly atmosphere from start to finish. It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces, new visitors and members of our community coming together to share food, conversations and smiles.

We were blessed with an amazing selection of quality food, all saved from going to waste and redistributed back into our community where it can make a real difference.

Thank you to our incredible volunteers who work tirelessly behind the scenes to make these events possible, and to everyone who continues to support the Zero Hunger movement.

Together, we're proving that good food belongs on tables, not in bins. πŸŒπŸ’š

See you all again soon!

🌟 It's Volunteers' Week! 🌟

This week we want to say a huge THANK YOU to our incredible Food Heroes and volunteers who give their time, energy and compassion to support our community. Without you, Zero Hunger simply couldn't do what it does.

From collecting surplus food and setting up outreach venues to welcoming members of the community and helping food reach those who need it most, every volunteer makes a real difference.

We're always looking for people who want to get involved and make a positive impact in their local community. Whether you can spare a few hours a week or a few hours a month, we'd love to hear from you.

Volunteering is a fantastic way to meet new people, learn new skills, boost your confidence and help reduce food waste while supporting local families.

If you'd like to become one of our amazing Food Heroes, send us a message and find out how you can get involved.

Together, we can ensure no one goes hungry and no good food goes to waste. πŸ’š

Another amazing outreach completed today πŸ’š

A huge thank you to the 80 families who came along and helped save quality food from going to waste while supporting our community initiative. Together we redistributed a fantastic amount of fresh food that otherwise may have ended up in landfill.

Thank you to our incredible Food Heroes, volunteers, supporters and partners who make days like today possible. Your continued kindness, hard work and community spirit are what keep Zero Hunger moving forward.

Every bag shared, every conversation had and every smile seen today reminds us why this movement matters so much.

Together we are reducing food waste, supporting local people and proving that community really does make a difference πŸ’š

WITNESS APPEAL UPDATE

Thank you to everyone who has reached out with information, messages and support following our witness appeal. We will be passing all information received across to the police shortly.

The biggest thank you must go to those who have sent kind words and messages of support to be passed on to the family. Your compassion during such a difficult time means more than you know.

We are determined to see justice for this, and this type of behaviour will not be tolerated in our community.

Please continue to share the appeal and encourage anyone with information to come forward.

Rushmoor Borough Council We are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed an incident on Lynchford Road, Farnborough last Tuesday afternoon at approximately 4.30pm.

A lady in her 70’s was found with significant head injuries and remains in a serious condition.

If you saw anything at all, no matter how small it may seem, or have any dashcam or CCTV footage from the area around that time, please come forward. Any information could prove vital.

We are aware of an incident that took place on monday at one of our outreach sessions, and we would like to reassure our community that the matter has been dealt with appropriately.

The safety and well-being of our food heroes, volunteers, and wider community will always remain our priority. Our outreach sessions are safe spaces, and we have a zero-tolerance approach to any form of abuse, whether physical, verbal, or threatening in nature. Any individual displaying aggressive behaviour will be asked to leave and may be removed from future sessions.

Following this incident, and due to previous complaints made by an aggrieved member of the public, we underwent a food hygiene inspection. We are pleased to confirm that we passed successfully and continue to retain our licence to distribute food within the community.

We would like to thank everyone for their continued support, kindness, and encouragement. We look forward to welcoming you all at our next local outreach event. πŸ’š
